First run of the season ✅ the dogs were happy!

Megan Moberly @yukikazesiberians.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Finally getting ready for fall training. Still doing the normal house stuff of "I have a billion things to do and buy" but the dogs are ready and I finally set aside time this past week to get our gear in order. These 11 are this seasons current race team ♥️

My sweet Jasnah is still missing. She got out last night with Starlight (it's ALWAYS Starlight) and two other pups. I was at a neighbors for a couple hours. When I got home Starlight and the other pups were all nearby but Jasnah was nowhere to be seen.

The task of the day - getting a mailbox installed! 🎉 The property didn't have one before so that's been fun, and even still I'll have to work with the post office to get my address "recognized" in their system as my address isn't verifying with most sites when I try to change it. Fun times 😂😁

Vin and Elend are growing up so quick! Jasnah and Dory too! I've been working a lot of overtime that the days are blending into the weeks, these guys are going to be yearlings before I know it 🤭

I think this one slipped through the cracks as I was trying to organize my emails tonight, so my apologies if so, but a huge thank you to Erica Phillips for sponsoring the whole kennel this year ♥️♥️♥️ Yes, two moves in one year mightve fried my brain a little. But I promise I appreciate you so much!

Thank you @megsf.bsky.social for sponsoring Deku again ♥️♥️♥️ Deku is very much enjoying the new dog yard with his buddies Shirou and Kaisel 😁 I'm hoping to get him back in lead this season, he really does love it! Thank you for the support, it really is so so appreciated!

These were the finished pens right before I moved the dogs in. I am blessed to have great neighbors who helped clear the land for me (as this was all trees and brush before) and watched my dogs while I got everything ready. Soo thrilled for the dogs to have a nice shady setup.

Wednesday we loaded up the kennel in WI, Thursday we unloaded in MI and set up the pens. Friday through Monday I had intermission to go to NH and back while my wonderful neighbors watched my dogs. Yesterday and today I finished getting the electric fence up and all the dogs are officially home!

Trouble is brewing! I've officially named them Vin (formerly Eris) and Elend (formerly Weywot) after two protagonists from the Mistborn series.

Big thanks to @fartsock.bsky.social for letting me do puppy play at your place! This has quickly become tradition as I travel back from the northeast. I have 7 puppies on this trip. Two are bound for MI with me, three for WI at two different kennels, one for IL (then IA), and one NY (then Ontario).

What an exhausting 7 weeks it's been but as of today - I am officially a homeowner! From here I'll just need to move stuff up to the new place and then move all the dogs and kennel panels and houses with Jaye's help. Oh boy I just know August is going to FLY by! But we are so excited ♥️

I have a surprise from Alaska coming in the coming weeks. I had originally backed out of this litter because funds were just too tight with buying the house right now, but Jaye offered me a co own agreement and the timing worked out for when Jaye is coming down. Introducing Jasnah! ♥️

T minus 5 days for closing. I can't believe it's really this close! The next month will be a lot of craziness as I get dog yards put in and all my stuff hauled over. As far as the smoke goes here, today was another awful day at 700 air quality, but the dogs have all seemed totally unaffected.

Megan Moberly @yukikazesiberians.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

I am stressed for my dogs 😫 the air quality is NOT good here one bit.

It's a war on flies here at the kennel. I've had fly traps out the past couple months and am using SWAT and Wondercide but it doesn't seem to be touching them. I've got more Wondercide ordered, plus First Saturday Lime and a homemade mix a friend ordered of Pyrethrin / Mineral Oil on the way. Ugh! 😫

House update! Inspection is done, and it's onto the first phase of UW. I've been working overtime most weekends to offset the $3300 I'm up to. Now my main concern is what's due for the appraisal. If anyone is inclined to boost my page I'd appreciate it 🫶 yukikazesiberians.weebly.com/dog-sponsors...

I took Starlight to the vet for bloodwork in preparation for her spay next week. The good news: her bloodwork was fantastic! The bad news: I realized from a tiny pink smear after leaving the exam room that she is in heat, a month and a half early. 🫩 We shall have to push it off a while longer!

Trying to share more videos of the dogs for more happiness. Saphira gets VERY jealous when I'm petting Karyu and not her. For those not "in the know", Saphira is Comet's younger half sister.

There was a rainbow over the house last night. Maybe a good omen for the new home? I hope so! So far $1900 in earnest money, $700 for inspection, and still gotta hear back on the appraisal. Oy vey! Please send good vibes that this all goes through without any issues 🤞

Hey friends! I'm sharing this GoFundMe I put together for some friends of mine. They are absolutely distraught about the thought of losing one of their beloved cats for lack of funds. I know money is tight but I'm hoping to help them. Sharing and sending best wishes their way are helpful too. ❤️

Big reveal of the day: I found a house in the UP that I'm putting an offer on! I am using some of my 401k against the closing costs and down payment (hey you only live once, this is an investment for my kennel) but I do have a $1900 earnest fee I'll have to mail ASAP if the seller accepts my offer.

Today the winter collars finally got switched out for the summer collars (for those who had them) and the winter collars were washed (yes, ultimate procrastinator over here on that). I found myself surprised at how many dogs actually need summer collars and boomerang tags ordered 🫣 next on my to do.

The babies are two weeks today 🥹 we think Eris is bi eyed, Weywot brown eyed, and Pluto blue eyed. We'll know for sure in the next week or so. Yesterday would've been their father's 11th birthday, and while I'm still grieving him, I'm also thankful he gave us these little treasures before he left. ♥️

I am not having a good day. I woke up to find Syl and Baloo had escaped their pen. I immediately launched a search driving around. I went and got liquid smoke and dumped that around the property.
