I really do think it's cultural then. Perks of living in a tropical country, I guess, you needed to burn the heck out of the meat to preserve it, nowadays it's what everyone prefers There's a lot of national recipes all about burning the meat in the sun!

The hunter constantly tries to kill the prince, always forming plans or trying to stab him in the back The prince always avoids it (very casually) and everytime he does he just pets the hunter on the head saying something like "good job, I'm sure you'll get me next time ;3"

It conveys a really good sense of power with the sound effects and close ups I also really love the magnifying glass scene that parodies alien movies, very funny and morbid

It’s also a really cool example of using technical limitations to improve the scene. They knew they couldn't render a human face (those ants aren't exactly eye candy), so they decided to keep it hidden, which just made the human seem even more immense, barely looks like a character, more so a disast

There is not even a practical reason for the elf to do this! The human gold is worthless to elf economy, the poorest elf could buy a whole human city just because, every single health potion in a human kingdom couldn't be able to heal even 1 HP from a peasant elf who has never entered combat

You aren't allowed to get mad at the elf that shrunk your city and put it into a little terrarium, it's like getting mad at a wolf for eating sheep or a beaver for making a dam. It's in their nature to subjugate everyone smaller than them, you're just mad they figured out shrinking magic first.
