My biggest disappointment with my poetry journey is the reality that I lost most of it, especially the Filipino ones. Those were my best works because Filipino is my strongest language even though it's not exactly my "first language". Those were also long and deeply inspired. I need a time machine.

There's one more poem actually, but it's for October 31st. It was a poem I wrote when I was a Game Master for Philippine Ragnarok Online. Next, I'll get on the #HAInaKU ones. It's Haiku written in Filipino about sigh (exasperation, disappointment, …) based on the Filipino expression "Hay, naku".

Page load speeds for mochott users outside Japan have improved significantly! The reason for the previous slowness was simple: We had specified multiple Vercel Function Regions, including the U.S., but since the database is located in Japan, the extra round trips caused latency to skyrocket.

I tried switching on and off VPN. I switched to Malaysia, Estonia, Iceland, same experience. LOL. It doesn't seem to be the Internet itself, all other sites are fine, so no undersea cable related thing I think. (Unless China is hitting the region. 🤣)

Disabling the infinite scroll is the best feature for me and other people. Infinite scroll is the worst "invention", it consumes too much memory and invites doom scrolling. Witchsky clears your memory when loading a new page. Witchsky is the best social-app fork today!

The new pagination feature in Witchsky Canary is a lifesaver. It keeps the memory consumption of Witchsky small. You see, infinite scrolling only works if you have a high-end phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop, AND you're not a power-user. Otherwise, it starts to slow things down and cause crashes.

You turn that into a #Haiku based poetry but in the #Filipino language. What you get is #HAInaKU. It's challenging to write a HAInaKU because the Filipino language retained much of the original Austronesian language rules, which makes everything long. Long phrases, long words, in Haiku's 5-7-5.

What is #HAInaKU? It's #Haiku in the #Filipino language. It follows the same rules, like 5-7-5. The name is a wordplay of Haiku and "hay, naku". "Naku" is a contraction of "ina ko" (my mom). It eventually evolved into a generic expression of exasperation.
