steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 23/09/2026wow. congratulations to you and Mrs. Dekker. I hope that everything goes well in the coming weeks and beyond, you two have got this! 010
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 14/09/2026i just walked into a Wawa that has tables in it and my first thought was "you could draft a cube here" 0100
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 12/09/2026congratulations Steve, may today become a beautiful memory :) 011
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 02/09/2026I don't think I know any British people. at all. but I must try to do my part! 011
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 02/09/2026wow, that stone soup deck looks insanely strong, how did your matches shake out? 100
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 02/09/2026super interested in seeing how strong demystify is here... "ungodly efficient 1 for 1 trade" looks great, but the bar I'm expecting is more "ruin your life and take your lunch money" 020
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 02/09/2026fear of isolation bounces lands + hard to go wrong with blue in this pack as far as wheels, hoping to get back the well? 110
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 31/08/2026manifested fxbsky.app/profile/rata...fxbsky.appRatafia (@ratafia.bsky.social)I'm hearing tales of this guy drafting crazy good decks at #cubecon, who's behind the mask?? 000
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 26/08/2026fantastic | it lets me survive enough to build engines so that i can crank my shit all the way to victory 010
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 24/08/2026decks: 2-1 RW Heroic 1-2 Approach - 0-3 Sultai-I-Die 2-1 BR Aggro 010
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 24/08/2026first picks: Legacy, designed by Gabor - Arc Trail Synesthesia, designed by Lincoln - No More Lies - Dangerous, designed by Ollie - Adarkar Wastes Anti-war, designed by Anthony - Goblin Chieftan 110
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 24/08/2026it was thank you to the staff, designers, and fellow attendees of Obscura. and shoutout to my friends from New Jersey. having someone to go with and feeling like part of a team was magical. 280
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026if I could signal boost three of these, it would definitely be Hymn of Axciom, Grey, and Give Life Back to Music. and, if you haven't listened to Discovery yet, Go!!!!!!!! see y'all in a few hours! 020
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Worship designed by Scott Mirts Hallelujah (Live) - Paramore huge paramore fan reporting for duty 🫡 this choice is tangential from Scott's awesome introspective call to action of a blurb, but I like a happy ending every now and again. may our packs be blessed with bombs! \m/ 110
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Legacy designed by Gabor Give Life Back To Music - Daft Punk when I think "legacy" and "music", there is only one name that comes to mind. "Discovery" has its prints on every other album I listen to. in many other lives, I've given my life to music. in this one, I wave at it from behind a window. 110
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Anti-war designed by Anthony One - Metallica I am not a huge Metallica listener, so I doubt I could say more than what's been said about this song already. this machine will take all you think you have, then twist you tighter than you thought possible to squeeze out the last drop. 110
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Feudal designed by Andy Donald McGillavry - Silly Wizard luckily for me, not only is this like the only old-timey folky song I listen to, it fits very well with the prompt - a romp empowering the common man in a bygone era of scottish political unrest. up wi' King James an' wi' Donald McGillavry! 110
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Deja Vu designed by Brett Vampire in the Corner - Magdalena Bay I originally picked the eurobeat meme song from Initial D of the same name, but Brett's blurb was so good I had to be genuine. an insidious feeling, the universe shifting into place around you as you realize you've been here before... 110
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Telemetry designed by Gwen Dekker Grey - Haywyre though "Mokalite" from the same album fits the vibe of being beamed signals from space better, I've chosen to include Grey instead because it is a near religious experience of a song in my opinion. I hope when aliens reach out, it's this beautiful. 110
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Monument designed by Jane EARFQUAKE - Tyler, the Creator "for real, for real this time." how many times have you picked up the pen? seen what you want to become and began shaving away at yourself to fit that mould? did you get there? neither did I. but, surely, this one will last. 110
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Redemption designed by John Clara Redemption - Zacari ft. Babes Wodumo I remember listening to this whole album the day after I saw Black Panther and playing back the visuals and emotion as this song came on. such an amazing sonic fit for the idea of surviving the worst failure and succeeding. 110
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Periodic designed by Jake Epos - Zedd I chose to take the interpretation of periodic as "repeated over a set time interval" when choosing this song, and it fits very well for that. really cool sonic effect from just some simple timing changes and synth choices. we doin science to this one! 111
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Omelas designed by Zach Barash III: The Will of One - The Protomen this song is from a grimdark-ish megaman concept album. a city under fascist rule, a hero to rise up alone to save it, and the solemn truth of the last "hero" who tried. to ensure the comfort of all others, hope rides alone. 111
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Synesthesia designed by Lincoln We Magicians Still Alive in 2021 - Camellia this song is an absolute avalanche of melody and sound, and was one of my fastest gut picks simply upon seeing the prompt. it is, without question, a sensory overload. I'm really looking forward to seeing this cube! 111
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Genesis designed by Magdalena Genesis - Justice this song is not only a 1:1 on name, but perfectly captures the vibe of The Beginning. the opening hits are absolutely iconic - I just imagine hearing them blare in my mind as I open pack 1 and find a bomb worthy of their fanfare. 111
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Sublimate designed by Max Spero liquated - Camellia following its album's title track, "crystallized", it's clear that Camellia arranged this with the goal of sonically representing phase transition in mind. if I could send one person back in time to meet Mozart, it'd be Camellia. total genius. 111
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Ritual designed by Parker Hymn of Axciom - Vienna Teng if there's one to listen to, it's this. a haunting a capella ballad about becoming understood and enslaved by a machine (a fight many of us have lost to The Algorithm). I sing along to this on the way back from all DCI shows - my ritual. 111
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Dangerous designed by Ollie Psychowar - Machine Girl this blurb is DELICIOUS. I knew right away it had to be something thrashy. there have to be so many better metal songs one could pick, but I don't listen to that much metal, so I honed in on Machine Girl. the bass makes me wanna just go nuts 111
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Collapse designed by Gabe The Black Rainbow - Coheed and Cambria this is simply taken from Aesthetics of Annihilation by Sam Rhystic Studies. I'd not even listened to the song before I put it on the playlist! what does happen after the end of all things? what could possibly remain? 111
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/20261. Cavalier designed by Dan Schneider Cavalier - Fox Stevenson this was one of the "name 1:1s" that inspired me to make this list. it doesn't fit the blurb, but that's ok. Fox was very influential in my teen years and put me on Drum & Bass. this song is from his more mature debut album. 111
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026I can't sleep! so I may as well give my spiel describing my choices for anyone who is interested, or designers who just want to know easily what their song that I chose is. 211
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026after sleeping on it, I have decided to replace my selection for Monument, Shelter, with EARFQUAKE. "for real, for real this time" really speaks to the blurb Jane wrote. nevermind that I talked to her and learned the song she would choose herself - I have separate plans for that :) 000
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 22/08/2026it is We Magicians Still Alive In 2021 by Camellia. first song my brain went to that would just be dripping with a full spectrum of colour. very very sorry for you if you try to listen to this, it is arguably not music. if it's too grating, crystallized by Camellia fills the role decently too! 010
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 21/08/2026chipotle bacon the first time, but i would settle into pure scallion 010
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 20/08/2026this is how I learned about the event in the first place. such a privilege to be alive with technology like this 010
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 19/08/2026ok so I would have said no but I learned with the new set that they apparently have time to gain an enduring story (read: eye opening selfcestual experience) before the legend rule does its thing. just need either another legendary observant who likes to watch, or a toy 140
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 15/08/2026they think they're chris hansen but really they're a pervert 030
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 11/08/2026LMAO the mental image of this is fantastic. now I have an extra edge with which to SPIKE and SHARK cube events if I see you start moving with a pack 000
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 11/08/2026okay. I would have gotten pwned by Kroxa here LOL that's so fucked up. 010
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 11/08/2026what causes judging headaches here? my guess is just people forgetting to declare before drawing 7? 200
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 05/08/2026while my tastes are relatively broad, the quantity of unique artists I've listened to is relatively narrow - so the choices reek of my own taste 😋 "Monument" kind of got me... Shelter is a copout pick 😖 I can't wait for this event - looking forward to seeing everyone and drafting with y'all! 100
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 05/08/2026now that all 17 designers and prompts have been revealed for #c4acobscura, I've put together a playlist consisting of one song inspired by each prompt and blurb, in the order they were revealed. spotify: open.spotify.com/playlist/1WR... youtube: youtube.com/playlist?lis...youtube.comMusica Obscura - YouTube 462
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 19/07/2026my well wishes are with the victim, and to anyone who is directly supporting either party. throwing stones at each other is senseless and shows a lack of empathy - both parties' "inner circles" are helping to bear similar burdens - just for different people. be good to your fellow human 011
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 19/07/2026I think folding is the correct decision. SHELTER is a good example the pros and cons of centering a club's "brand" around a specific person. thankfully, there are so many clubs now that there is unlikely to be any practical dent in the scene in that regard - LOCKER ROOM has matched the vibe most. 110
steph @youinmoonview.bsky.social · 19/07/2026im lucky to have had the same experience as many others - walking through The Alley and going downstairs, through a door, and hearing the yapping outside drop off and be replaced with some of the most insane sounds I'd ever heard. thank you, SHELTER and its team and community, for the memories. 150
