Earlier this week we hosted our CMS Summer Celebration 🥂 — a chance to celebrate the dedication of our wonderful staff and students as we wrap up the teaching and assessment period and welcome the summer ahead. The croquet set proved a big hit.

The Lords of Misrule present ‘3 Moral and Edifying Tavern Plays’, an anthology of medieval farce theatre at the Black Swan Inn this coming week, on the 24-26th April. Performances will start at 7pm, and tickets are available at the door (£7 for students, £10 standard ticket).

One of the highlights of our Semester One skills teaching are our Palaeography workshops. The Early Medieval group learned how to make ink, as well as working with a calligrapher, Sue Sparrow, to help them understand the skill and discipline required to write ancient and medieval scripts.
