Today, we’re proud to host Save a Place at the Table created by Pannett Art Gallery. Twelve hand-stitched place settings honouring loved ones remembered by local communities. Visitors can also hear many of the original recordings from the project on a special ‘radio’ installation in the gallery.

Remarkable addition to museum this month - medals, uniform & personal effects of 6th Inniskilling Dragoon, Arthur Watts: a powerful glimpse into military life in the late 19th & early 20th century. Collections team will begin cataloguing, researching and conserving process, stay tuned for updates.

Fritz was a German machine gun pulling horse, captured by the 5th Dragoon Guards at Harbonnieres, 8th August 1918. He was used as a cavalry horse for the rest of the war, and received a gunshot wound to the neck. [1/3]
