(learned from a student presentation today!) Draw a point in the interior of an equilateral triangle of side length s and draw perpendiculars to each side; call the perps a,b,c. Fact: The sum of perp lengths, a+b+c, is independent of the interior point. Prove it! (Find a closed formula using s.)
