crucifixion is a toku staple honestly. where do you think eva got it from

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

i feel like my first lasting impression of you was all the racing lagoonposting so "damn... that fiora is one 「CRAAAAAZY DRIVER」"

i keep calling discord server issues specifically 'witnessing the tears of time' without thinking twice and then i often have trouble backing up and explaining why this is the case, so it's really just on-brand

mr ryuga is known for punching... perhaps it was inevitable

the other pairing i still think about sometimes is marisa kirisame x yunica tovah from ys origin... Wizard and Warrior yuri...

adol was one of the first on my 3ds island too. he wound up dating the female player character from rune factory 4. real heartbreaker couple...

one of those cases where the character relationship in the actual series is strongly-defined enough that it's really interesting to try and build backwards from the endpoint... i really have no idea if this will amount to anything, but it's fun to rotate in my head and that's what matters probably.

maybe after i finally do the fanart just for me (baby jamil in alphinaud's endwalker outfit. the gear your dad used when he was younger,)

110

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 15/04/2026

i really wanna write 'like -10y from the show' fic about jamil and techs at some point. but i'm too perfectionist so i'd have to sit down and go through Everything again to scrape together some kind of details as a starting point. and also it'd want to be plotty and i'm bad at that already. T_T

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 11/04/2026

i genuinely don't think i have seen anyone watch this show for the first time and _not_ go 'oh. I see' at that scene

these things happen when two guys end up coparenting a postapocalyptic jrpg land-battleship

(thinking about all the things i can't say about kitaoka and goro-chan) im gonna fucking lose it

010

another reason why quattro is my favorite Char Era honestly

his brain would not parse it as valid words. bro would stare at you expectantly for a minute and then go 'sorry did you say something'

010

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 25/06/2025

all three of them off to one side going 'wait. you can just like. seek help and get therapy'

110

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 18/06/2025

this is the kind of character analysis and technical discussion that's the real payoff of getting a friend to start a show imo

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 11/06/2025

(part of grand ewiyar's Thing is that she charms both the boss and your entire party. why do we have hands? feed the ewiyar / pet the ewiyar / surrender all mortal possessions to the ewiyar)

010

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 11/06/2025

extremely funny to me that this is a sentiment you can apparently have about multiple distinct cats in multiple distinct gachas

the effect description for one of the passive traits of grand ewiyar in granblue fantasy, another cat unit, which also deals with charm status, entitled 'All Your Praise Belongs to Me!'

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 04/06/2025

dammit where's that person who does hoshi wo miru hito-style combat sprite commissions again. very tempting to manifest the eventual conclusion of this line of thought

010

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 20/05/2025

ok the narumi detective agency should not be allowed into the universal century, there are some fates too cruel for even my favs. however there are many gundam characters they should be allowed to adopt / defuse / generally make weirder (as applicable)

000

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 30/04/2025

i think the usual phrasing is something like "oh. sorry, I wasn't familiar with your game"

120

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 15/04/2025

there's a reason we were both just like 'YEAH YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS SHOW' and just kind of skipped over any actual explanation. it's sorta hard to Explain, so much of it is in immaterial vibe. also juggler is there

010

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 14/04/2025

i was rotating ryuki in my mind as regards this assertion and i think it has both a cat (domesticated) and a cat (entirely feral, _will_ infect you with something through violence)

010

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 11/04/2025

i don't think we're outdoing this one in the lifespan of the group chat pack it in folks

010

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 01/04/2025

i slacked off too long to get anywhere close to done on my idea but. well, it wasn't called the '_finish_ anything jam' after all

010

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 01/04/2025

the fun thing about being the overlap of the venn diagram is that i also get to think about kabuto (and w) and do this

010

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 28/03/2025

me whispering to my date in the theater where you go to look at cat pictures

000

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 27/03/2025

true, but you've _also_ seen char's counterattack...

120

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 26/03/2025

i was going over the sort of weird self-indulgent lore i had for my mecha au for w a while back and went 'wait i've just invented a bunch of the core setup for gundam x again' so. you know how it is

010

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 25/03/2025

i mean this is also understandable. nyelv i get it bestie

010

yomi @yomidian.bsky.social · 21/03/2025

it's always funny to me when people go "huh, I never would've expected you to be a plane anime sicko" when it comes up in casual conversation like... i'll just start quoting dialogue from the last mission in ace combat zero for any or no reason. i'm not exactly subtle about this
