Last season on "The Legislature" the Minister claimed he's "listening to the people" while removing 1000+ protected hectares of Kananaskis from public parks and opening them to commercial development. Not a park=not public=no conservation officers, no trail crews, no belonging to the people 🙃(1/2)

Yup. Questions rhetorical.

It's 2026. Why are there fraternities any more? They're just younger versions of 'Old Boys' Clubs'. Networking men at young ages while the 'sororities' get to do what? Eliminate separate women's/men's 'youth clubs' & truly equalize opportunities for everyone paying college tuition.

Those bots may store some of their poisonous outrage in RU data centres - but their garbage will still be saved somewhere else, wouldn't it? Within platforms? I wonder how long it will take to download their 'credentials' from different data centre and they'll quickly be back on stream. 😡

Good morning. Tossed about, having withstood this tide, some edges are more jagged, some smoothed, but still together in numbers, strength, with the opening in view. #TidesOutTuesday #RockinTuesday #ColorADay #BlueTue #photography #imageandverse #ECK #EastCoastKin #maine

Image of a rocky beach. Water coming in. Two landmasses on the side with conifers. Clouds.

Luv the rock colour, shape and size in the foreground. Good blending of the sky colouration with the water as they unite between the two slices of land coming in from to the left and right in the mid ground. A photo to be proud of - and maybe worth enlarging for a home wall?

I luv that contrast between the colour of the yellow leaves and the bare tan background. Also the contrast of the vertical vs the shape of the yellow trees. Annnnnd I also like the shot this way. . . LOTS of winning! 😉

Rocks in the foreground, with yellow leaved trees behind the rocks.

In the background vertical bare tan coloured limbs of trees without leaves.

Minnesota just effectively ended veteran homelessness. Through years of focused work and targeted investments, we’re delivering on the promise that any Minnesotan who raises their hand to serve our nation will have a safe and warm place to call home.

You never know how narrow Security ppl can be, insisting on guidelines. We budget hard and don't want a $100 stool grabbed "because it could be weaponized". Or have unsteady Partner have to stand around with thousands of others after the event while Security tries to find the stool to return it.

Seems pretty weak. So, ppl are to assume if there's no light on they're 'new model' & aren't recording? Or hey - no light on, but NOT the new model, & they're recording others. No, just NO smart glasses. People wear them to weaponize/hurt others. No, like you don't open carry weapons in the EU.

@lukaszukab.bsky.social We've registered for BMO in Calgary on Thursday. Partner has balance and leg nerve issues - won't be able to stand for very long in one place - usually brings a small foldable stool to events where people stand. What do we do?

What should I leave at home?
Backpacks and big bags, flagpoles and sticks, signs and banners, CHAIRS, alcohol and glass, weapons, fireworks and sprays, drones and laser pointers.

Jane Doe @yknot05.bsky.social · 1h

And why there's security - we have to sign up in advance with real names that match photo ID.

Jane Doe @yknot05.bsky.social · 1h

I'm confused. We're told not to bring signs or banners. So nothing to wave? Just show up in our Cdn/Maple Leaf hats/sweaters/jackets? Will something be handed out once we get there?

I 'get' it. I'd tighten that point by saying greed is the number one reason, & religion a useful tool for those who primarily want more more more for themselves. Sometimes retribution and revenge by asking for others to have even less? Why compassion missing inside some? Not enough love as a child?

Where do we even start? Primarily I don't want water sent to the U.S. unless we have more than we need and can reduce the amount when we need it. And I don't want water going to data centres.

Politicians aim their ire at a lot of organizations and people. But the critical thing is WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO ABOUT IT? You can only control what you do - but too often in 2026 political accusations are more posturing for the home nation than actually doing something.

If you live in the U.S. and someone you love is managing to afford critical medication b/c it comes from Canada, often saving +50% of the costs, be aware Trump's tariffs will be ending those medications. ORDER YOUR MEDS QUICKLY - STOCK UP!

Meghan Schiller on who gets hit, via KDKA-TV (CBS Pittsburgh)

“It’s estimated somewhere between 2 to 4 million people rely on these cheaper prescriptions out of Canada, and an estimated 89% of the Americans who order and import these medications are over the age of 65.”

Cohen is one of millions, and most of the others aren’t ordering eye drops. In Indiana, a woman living on $1,000 a month in Social Security told WSBT her blood thinner costs $388 for three months from Canada, against a US cash price reported at around $1,000 for the same supply. In Kansas City, a couple told KSHB they get three months of medication from Canada for roughly what one month costs them at home. In Toledo, Ohio, 75-year-old Susan Hooper has been on oxygen for fourteen years and takes two daily medications from a Canadian pharmacy that she can’t buy in the United States at any price. She told the Associated Press, “The issue is a matter of life and death for me.”

I’ll take her at her word, because the labels back her up. Eliquis, one of the most prescribed blood thinners in America, carries the FDA’s strongest warning, a black box on the label, and it says that stopping any drug of its kind early raises the risk of clots. The trials behind that warning recorded more strokes in patients who came off it. A woman on $1,000 a month who is quoted $1,000 for her tablets is going to stop taking them, because the arithmetic leaves her nowhere else to go.

110

Jane Doe @yknot05.bsky.social · 3h

Why? Home fridge? People lazy/busy = 0 lists, 0 check fridges/cupboards before leave home/shop? So retailers think 'Works great, no checking retail fridges using real humans either, b/c automation will keep track.' I blame it on 'Just in time supply chain' initiating it all. Minimum time/expenses.
