Positive: fixed the stuck keys preventing me from getting into Open Firmware! Negative: the keyboard now looks like a bomb hit it. I hate chiclet keycaps. Thankfully, replacement keyboards are surprisingly cheap!

After two days of fiddling we FINALLY GOT AN XBOX 360 RGH'D (Matrix V3, Picoflasher, on a Jasper 16MB) phat tip if you ever do this, follow an actual wiring guide because holy fuck are some of the connections susceptible to electrical noise

On today's episode of "e-ink devices are utterly unhinged": A Russian phone manufacturer created this glorious abomination called the YotaPhone in 2012. It has a 720p LCD display on one side, and a 320x640 e-ink screen on the reverse. ...that camera placement is wack and I LOVE IT 🧵1/3

And to end it, a small tangent - the original Kobo eReader (2010) had a relatively boring design - but THAT NAVPAD it reminds me of the Nextbit Robin but with *way* more late 2000s energy - ugly but SUPER fun.

This one is slightly newer, but the Sony PRS-350 (2010) evoques the design of the early-mid 2000s PDA craze. and that SUBTLE CURVE to the right side - why can't we have this instead of the black slab with a screen we have today?

Another example - 1st-gen Kindle looks like it has a build quality comparable to a pack of crisps, but the front is SO noisy - an entire QWERTY keyboard with numbers, multiple page-turn buttons and a KNOB!
