Today's LLM fail: my export script was failing to load pages, not used it for a while so wanted a quick check before investigating. It spent ages getting nowhere, analysing more and more files... Turning the dev server off and on fixed the issue 🤦🏽‍♂️ before Claude finished thinking.

More adobe nonsense... InDesign has two Paragraph panels that look identical - one has settings the other doesn't, and that menu is the only way to get Google's Playwrite cursive font to actually join up.

Tried the Claude Chrome extension for grabbing context off X threads. It does that well enough. No chat history though, and switching tabs kills your session (combined with the above: ugh). There's a connector in the main app too but it chokes on multiple browser profiles. Or is it just me?

Trying out a variety of workflows and run into a 'fun' issue today. Asked Claude Code to do some refactoring on a Codex created PR via `@claude` and it happily done the job, but never committed anything. 🤔

Not sure if it's just me but for some reason password protecting a pdf exported from InDesign with a password containing a - makes Acrobat claim the password is wrong, even if I just copied and pasted it 3 times for exporting, confirming and then opening. 🤔 Weird and annoying.

My son's favourite books had an animatic made (sadly the Kickstarter wasn't enough to make a full feature animation). It was a lot of fun watching the characters come to life :) They also handled the shortening of teo books into one movie quite nicely! youtu.be/JJMuJCLsYeQ?...

I lost my phone yesterday. 😱 Thankfully got it back today, but it was pretty nerve recking. Just the thought of having to deal with a missing authenticator app and all the 2FA that goes on daily makes me shudder. Lesson learned: keep location on (my battery will 😭). Any other tips?

I've tried Antigravity and it has not replaced Cursor for my workflow. It's quite nice when it works, but seems geared for feature tackling and more hands off work. I won't say no to free tokens on Gemini's new model, so I'm now double IDE-ing 🤣 What irks me the most is:

Book progress update! ✨ I’ve finally cleaned up the word cloud activity enough to release it. We tested the “colour the correct spelling” version today. The kids loved hunting for the right Monday.

We’ve been stuck in post-summer chaos, in need of a reset to our routine. I’ve been less consistent and the kids responded by avoiding the work more than usual. A bit more flexibility and variety in the activities will hopefully improve my results.

Worksheet update! The kids do love to insist on following the instructions to the letter, so when on occasion I asked them to write something else (or god forbid more!) it was like talking to a lawyer. Now the text is editable, directly in the worksheet creator for each new sheet. :) #devlog

Had a request for a different math activity today and DS decided he wants an erupting volcano with numbers on boulders. Both kids are doing number sorting at school so I could reuse these for both kids - one sheet with 1-20 and another with up to a thousand. #worksheets #mathHomework
