so weird to live in a time when public officials use their time to attack the press on social media and unleash their lunatic right-wing followers. guess they can't handle journalists doing our jobs anymore! psycho behavior

heartbreaking to see DOGE and the new EPA admin target @cjaourpower.bsky.social this way. also shame on the Biden admin for not releasing the funds before this admin took office. CJA does important work to clean up and protect communities across the US.

this is the part a lot of immigrants keep missing. if you came here illegally, the president sees you as a criminal too

sometimes i write poetry and share it in the newsletter. only paid subscribers get access to that 💙

a poem that reads:

"can we escape apocalypse? can we retreat to the comfort of our sheets and our bodies? can we kiss away the pain? or fuck in the name of freedom? the end is coming for us all one day, some in ways more violent than others. you can look away and turn to the vices that numb that haunting feeling. or you can face it head on. you can look apocalypse in the eye and wish it the best. you can embrace it with a hug or shove it off a ledge. we can't escape the truth. we can only delay."
