Have they? From what I've heard he's actually pretty miserable. Which I hope is true....

But for the life of me, I can't find the article anymore...

Unfortunately, Jev still has the same biases as LLMs. A week ot two ago I saw an article about a study where they let Jev screen resumes. And by changing just the name on the resume to non-white or female, Jev actually scored the (unchanged) resume lower than before.

Saw a video talking about how we evolved, which stated we're essentially fish that evolved to take the sea with us. So this makes perfect sense 😄

I would say 3 days: Monday - 1 > Tuesday - 2 > Wednesday - 3 > Thursday, thats ~3x 24 hours, so 3 days. You ask a travel agency, and you pay for 4 days. I think they consider any time past 0:00 to be part of the day and then round it up to the full day....

The dashboard broke in standalone mode. Docker run: The command could not be loaded, possibly because: * You intended to execute a .NET application: The application '/app/Aspire.Dashboard.dll' does not exist. * You intended to execute a .NET SDK command: No .NET SDKs were found.

Locally run models will be the future. I'm now more sure of that than ever before. Curious what the revenue model will be for that future. Harnasses? Models like software you install with a license check?

I like how you always post the link to the article in a reply to your own post. If your post seems interesting, I can read the article and you can use your initial post to choose a screenshot of what you want to show.

The funny thing is: I've seen a video on some experiments with disconnecting the left and the right hemispheres of the human brain. And that seems to show the exact same thing happening to humans. We make a choice, subconsciously. Then after that, our brains rationalize the choice to ourselves.

I'm curious how these people think the human brain works.

The first part I agree with. The second part is simply not true. That's how trampolines work. You add energy by pushing off with you legs. Otherwise you're telling me this olympic event has never been possible? www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rbx...

If you're Dutch: by bike, how else?

The height is a good point. You'd probably risk breaking your back if you tried to land on your feet from that height.

Jeroen-bart Engelen @yeep.bsky.social · 06/09/2026
If you just drop into it and let it passively bounce you back you're right. But if you push off with your legs you add more energy. It's hard to tell what's supposed to be going on here, but he may do just that.

Figure the thing was a sort of trampoline, so that can work. But the weirdest to me is that he's facing forward, lands on the trampoline on his feet then bounces back doing saltos, but somehow ends up turning around? Where's the screw to make that possible?

I started with Quake. Because Doom was 2,5D and you couldn't look up, it wasn't necessary. The transition was fun, in Quake I completed pwned the people who never learned to look up. Had a colleague who trolled in Quake by winning every round, then asking if anyone else was playing on keyboard only.

As long as tokens are expensive, it still makes sense to spend a few to generate a dashboard that uses none. Also, agents capable of correctly visualizing data don't run locally on avg. machines. And some companies don't want to (or can't) share the data with a US corp.

IMO you don't *need* to play Control, but if you did, you'll understand a lot more references in AW2. Same for Quantum Break.

Yeah, I have some agents where I have given them a "personality". Like: be brief, direct and to the point. Skip niceties. Just thought of a fun April 1st joke. Copilot has enterprise settings with default instructions. Add: talk like a 90s highschool girl from California.

I feel like I have some sort of natural defence against this 😄 I use GitHub Copilot for work, but I absolutely hate it when the AI praises me or tells me I'm great/my idea is great. You're just a bunch of vector math, don't pretend to have emotions. I want an option to turn that shit off.

Yes. Not a furry, never played Second Life. I think I learned about Goreans due to a news-article about a real-life Gorean group, that were investigated because they allegedly kept a woman prisoner.

I wonder if YouTube exposes enough data in their API for me to check this with scripts.... Hmmm......

Jeroen-bart Engelen @yeep.bsky.social · 23/07/2026
I've heard this for years now. Seems like they could've fixed that by now then (or maybe they don't care). But also: I have YouTube channel RSS feeds in my feedreader, so I see new videos there as well. I've never seen a difference between RSS and subscriptions.

That's interesting.... I just checked my iPad and there it looks like your screenshot. Maybe on Android I haven't gotten the latest update yet, or maybe I have a really ne version? Anyways, on iPad I also see the red dot on the subscription button for new videos....

Jeroen-bart Engelen @yeep.bsky.social · 23/07/2026
I was wondering about the app as well, because most people would probably be on mobile (I'm old, so I prefer desktop 😄). On my app there is no subscription button at the bottom, but it's a tab at the top, with a red dot if there is new stuff. Would seem clear enough to me.

Sounds to me like they should just limit projects without much users that use a lot of CI and storage. If that is the actual reason, and not just an excuse...

Jeroen-bart Engelen @yeep.bsky.social · 23/07/2026
I'm very curious, because AFAIK I've never missed a video by a creator I follow on my Subscription feed. It makes me think that most people don't even look at that feed, but instead expect subscribed content to show up on the Home feed? Maybe they think Subscriptions is paid content?

That CSAM headline doesn't even begin to cover it. The use of Grok this way was never flagged as abuse until the very end. An when law-enforcement got involved X kind of dragged their heels, seemingly not wanting to cooperate.

My biggest problem with this is that (at least the last time I used this) the VS tooling doesn't work with this. I can't use the VS package manager to update the packages.

The custom scripts you write to turn a multi-step CLI process into a single command. I used to do a lot of kubectl and aws CLI stuff by hand, until I made a few Powershell functions and scripts. Felt like overkill, but man... is it nice now.

No, that's the OIDC token that is short-lived. Github signs the request so Nuget knows it can be trusted. This means Github has a public/private key pair to do the signing with. That is the master key, because any request signed with that cert will be trusted by Nuget.
000
Jeroen-bart Engelen @yeep.bsky.social · 02/07/2026
That's the whitelisting. You're saying: if someone from with this data presents themself and Github says it's fine, then it's fine. You whitelist the data on Nuget and Github signs the data with their master key to say it's fine 😄

Well, games are created by passionate ppl. These ppl need money to live, so they turn to the business ppl. These don't give a shit about games, they just want all the money. They are "optimizing" their investments" to squeeze every cent possible from games. Which means lay-offs and enshittification.

Jeroen-bart Engelen @yeep.bsky.social · 02/07/2026
So...basically Github now has the master key to all Nuget repos, and you just add yours to a whitelist? /s

The inability for one of the biggest consultancy companies in the world to understand the concept of DST in their software product. Twice per year, every single year we had issues. They fixed it a few years ago, just shy of 50(!!) years after it was introduced.
