OOT has the classic hero's journey that ends happily (for everyone except Link), and it's a great, timeless tale. MM's strength, aside from the devastating time loop Link goes thru trying to stop *another* world-ending apocalypse, and the fact that you can't save everyone (w/o 100% masks) >>>

As a Zelda Old whose childhood games involved Link + Zelda being bound by fate but being strangers at first, BOTW's approach of them having a history together drew me in. They were also bound by fate, and they ended up bonding over it by seeing the person beyond "the Hero" and "the Princess".

The sad part about future LOZ games being open world is that I can't see a way they can bring back dungeon items without limiting your movement. The superpowers from botw/totk are ok, but I miss the ball/chain and double clawshots from TP.

I am learning some fun things while watching a streamer play Ocarina of Time. Gibdos and ReDeads can freeze you during animations such as jump slashing and casting Din's Fire. (While getting bitten by a ReDead) "I think we all know what animation is getting changed in the remake."
