I’m specifically seeking them out now. I hope I can get a good collection of decent books. I definitely don’t want to keep badly written books just because they are pretty. 😆

I have begun a new hobby of buying books with painted end pages. It’s definitely part of my surround myself with more beauty goal. And to get back to reading more goal. No regrets.

Thanks for all the book recs! I’m going to dig into the 2nd book after Priory next, and I have another that I bought called The Library of the Amorlin that I haven’t started yet. But after those I will def check some of these out! Always glad to find a new book friend. 🌟🌷

Hope your birthday is excellent! 🌟

My favorites are LoTR, Johnathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, The Night Circus, The Count of Monte Cristo, and American Gods. I also literally just finished The Priory of the Orange Tree last night, and it was excellent as well. 🌟 What are yours?

Definitely read it! It takes a little bit to keep all the characters straight in the beginning but it really grabbed me. I’m about 3/4 of the way through, so excited that the story continues after Priory.

I bought a small bushel several months ago from a farm stand nearby and when Ark saw them he said, “Ooh, peanuts!” And I pointedly replied, “THEY ARE FOR THE CROWS.” 🤣

And his name will be Childermass 🐦‍⬛

My long term plan of befriending a murder of crows would *def* kick into high gear.

Hey Lovely! 💗 Thank you, you’re the best!🌷

You are adorable and I love you. 😘 The river really was beautiful this morning.

Same! I played it 3 times in a row when it came out.

I am starting a new job next week after 12 years of caretaking our son full-time, so I took myself out to my favorite place in Princeton, Tipple & Rose, to treat myself to a special tea service on this gorgeous fall day. This place is my sanctuary.

Several of the relationship story lines were so meaningful. I love watching each of them unfold.

Exactly. I also love the cast of characters in Inquisition. They are like visiting old friends whenever I play again.

Dragon Age Inquisition. And Skyrim. I have hundreds and hundreds of hours in those games. 💝

I hope you can!! I’m so glad I set a reminder alarm for right before the tickets went on sale. The queue was over 6500 people about 20 or so mins in.

It will be our first experience of Radio City Music Hall too, which is fun in and of itself. 🤩

Patrick Page is the best. ✨ My sister and I are hoping to get to his one man show All The Devil’s Are Here next month.

Same! I haven’t been able to get to a live show but I think seeing it this way was even better in a way because of the clever camera work. Also glorious to be able to see the original cast. Andre De Shields (Hermes) is a Broadway icon. But all of them are just so, so talented.

I may have cried nearly the whole time, but still I say: Go see the Pro Shot movie of Hadestown if you can. Seriously. It’s just amazing. I hope they release it for purchase eventually because it is definitely going to continue inspiring new generations of theater kids. 💖

Yes. Undoubtedly we have always only been valued as $ by society at large but it sure feels like they don’t even try to hide it anymore.

My first thought upon reading this was “I wish this too” and then my second thought was “I am having trouble thinking of an aspect of present day living that isn’t paywalled in some way” and now I may need to go lie on the floor for a while. 🫠

Happy Birthday!! 🎂✨ Hope you have some fun things planned and a tasty treat to enjoy that you did not make yourself. That’s a crucial condition. 😉

I’ve been absent from BlueSky a while - how’s everyone doing? I am currently in summer vacation caretaking mode for little man and working on changing my gaming laptop into a family Steam Machine alternative in the living room since they are so hard to get right now. 🤩

She also made him Yarny from Unravel because he’s loved that game for years. She made the tiny one with a little bit of yarn that she had with her while visiting and then mailed him a bigger one after she had gone home. 🥰

My mom has recently been crocheting what we have been calling Emotional Support Chickens. And when she found out my autistic son has recently gotten into watching the first 20 mins of Pirates of the Caribbean over and over, she made him Captain Jack Spar-rooster, red bandana under the hat and all. 💖
