Best to look Nighthawks as a Vampire CYOA rather than a RPG. It gave me what I want: A story of fledgling vampire rise to power. It hits most of the emotional beat that I recommend it but I'm pretty sure people won't be as tolerant as me regarding to the more railroady moment.

You mostly grind in Shadowrun (Genesis) seeing as most of your expense during the endgame is travel cost to certain place where you either need to deal with bureaucracy or rerunning dungeon. Corpo raids are not worth it and you mostly do it to do in-field hacking to get the real money.

SRW V can be summed up with "Yamato 2199: Also The OG Pilot is There". I don't think they executed the setup that is Gardim being the evil mirror of the expedition quite well. Though it reveals how the world keeps spawning Space Gods. its fine on the OG material side, hard to top Setsuko Worst Year.

Hero Senki is not great. A bloated and shallow RPG that launched in the same year as FF5 and DQ5. There's a reason the only FAQ about this game starts with the cheat codes. You mostly play this for the background of Gilliam and some gag and emotional bits that surprisingly hits.

34 hours due to cheating in exp and stats item so that's most of the training friction gone. Making def pierce mons mandatory really hurts the team variation in the end. Though there's some interesting encounter solver like Ulforceveemon and Jesmon.

Unfortunately, the most memorable part of Code Vein is That One Cathedral despite being the Bene Gesserit Painbox of Exploration Challenge. I understand why the sequel is effectively a reboot seeing as you can't just reuse the big reveal of this being a secret spinoff.

So playing the FFV Advance bonus dungeon was a mistake, I can see why it's not a thing in the future version. It turns me from wanting to replay the game with the less broken ability to not wanting to see the game for a while. Cleared all the pixel FF with this, excepting the IV After Years.

Decided to play some compilation. Played the meter game, 4 jumping games, and 6 neutral games. Granted its all arcade run so it's not practical for actual fight. The whole thing was an exercise on how to outcheese the AI, who obviously cheated.

Brigandine Grand Edition caught me unprepared with the fact that you can just run from the final boss and return later to fight a weakened roster. Really should have seen this coming with how the game emphasizes that you can win the war if you can flatline a high tier unit in a battle that you lose.

The idea of Asuncia is to be this procedural tabletop campaign. It didn't quite got it and we get something that is technically RPG. Effectively you're supposed to clear the map from monster and clear each dungeon if you want the true ending.

#girlsfrontline finale is something that I really recommend to play through. The emotional climax is designed for you to experience yourself. I really wish the conversation here is something that we all can read before the sequel. At least there's stage skip now. If you want to play this as a VN.

Even if you don't care about franchise and willing to cheat the combat part, I really recommend giving Fate/Extra CCC Gilgamesh Route a run. It's the run where you're more likely to die from saying the wrong thing to the dude and even the Big Bad repeatedly tries to bribe you to stop using him.

In the mood for high sea adventure so I finished the Uncharted Waters New Horizons campaign that I didn't get around to finishing. To combat campaign you can finish in 1-2 sitting. The exploration-mercantile one will have you chug through some sawdust due to the rep grind. Still holds up.

I love anime girls with magical orbs in video games. They used to be really prevalent in the late 80s to mid 90s. You know, those solid, spherical objects, often floating in the air. Here's just a small collection of such girls (I'll leave out obvious fortune tellers):
