Sometimes I get nervous at group meetups in VRChat, I just feel like I have a lot of eyes on me! #avali #VRChat Interestingly, you can use the new props feature in VRChat and link objects to your eye "bones", so if you have eye tracking, they will move with you.

I had a good weekend at Furality Ultra. It was really hard to get into instances where friends were, but I managed to see some of them for at least a few minutes. The meetups were fun, I managed to catch an Avali and an Avian meetup. It was cool to see everyone's creative works in-person!

Group photo from the Avali meetup on the first day of Furality Ultra 2026. At least thirteen avali are visible posing for the photo on a rope bridge. Seven are standing on the rope handrail, six are sitting or standing more towards the center. Text at the bottom reads: "Captured by AmbientGryph 06/04/2026 Project IBIS: Island... by Furality"

Group photo from the avian meetup on the third day of Furality Ultra 2026. Nine avali are posing for a photo inside of an orange tent on the edge of a small patch of forest. Text at the bottom reads: "Captured by -Myla- 06/06/2026 Project IBIS: Island... by Furality"

Yasher, as a black and gold avali, stands on a ledge overlooking the Furality hub world. Various buildings can be seen in the background.

Two avalis are pictured patting each other with their wing feathers, with a four-eared canid in the background. Both avali are the Spiri'vali variants with the left one being a head taller with a green-red gradient reminiscent of a mango, and the right, shorter, avali having a dark blue and orange coloring.

Haven't posted in a while, so thought I'd share this long avali comm from Tenali @ethquinox.bsky.social

An artistic rendering in the style of a Telegram sticker of an avali being picked up. The avali is Yasher's black and gold character.

Just got a new sticker for my collection! This great YCH commission was done by Tenali (@ethquinox.bsky.social). Not many people notice my avatar was inspired by Egyptian stone statues. But Tenali did a great job with the details and did really well with the marbled rock features and gold flakes!

Commission by Tenali (@ethquinox.bsky.social). A black and gold avali is seen peeking up into the frame. The avali is an Egyptian-inspired character with a stereotypical black and gold color, but stylized to be similar to a dark rock texture found on Egyptian statues, lighter grey marbling can be seen throughout, and gold flake accents can be seen on the half of the body above the gold stripe which runs along the bridge of the nose and over the ears.

Taking a late New Year's photo. I really enjoyed the 2026 glasses made by Hiyu, the gold matched my color scheme well!

2025 has been a fun year. I had made a resolution to be more social, and so I was able to meet many cool new friends. It's been great spending the year with everyone, and I look forward to seeing what's in store for 2026!

PSA: When flying through space, on occasion you may find that a space-bird gets into the ship. Don't panic! Simply capture it in a glass gently and let it out! Photo featuring RanmaKei, world: "Comfy Ship" #Avali #VRChat

I went for a walk at an avali meetup and found myself in a strange place. I wonder what they are talking about up there... Eventually I found my way back to the surface and saw a fellow avali who called me "hacker" and didn't believe that I simply walked there! #Avali #VRChat

An avali's eye view of an out-of-bounds area in a VRChat world, below ground. The normal ground is invisible from this angle and you can see into buildings from below. Above, a group of avalis can be seen chatting, from this angle the ground doesn't render, so it looks like they are floating on air.

Today I wrote a message for all Avali, a message of holiday cheer celebrating the upcoming festive season. (It is good to practice my Avali alphabet, I'm getting better slowly!) Location: Ice Flats of Mangila (Space Bird Federation homeworld) #Avali #VRChat

A black and gold avali character stands next to a handwritten message in Avali Scratch - the Avali alphabet. The message sends a message of holiday cheer and festive greetings. Each word alternates between red and green.

Space birds! Did you know avali love being out in space? We had a nice meetup in a pretty cool retro spaceship, but pretty soon everyone ended up out on the hull! Had a nice time chatting with Ryo the Avali (bsky.app/profile/ryot...). #avali #vrchat

People keep saying avalis are birds. I thought I'd test it out by sitting on a power line, because that's what birds do, right? #avali #vrchat

A sticker artwork of a black-and-gold avali sitting with feathers fluffed up. This sticker is nicknamed the "muffin," possibly as an allusion to the "loaf" pose cats assume. This sticker is from FelisRandomis avali sticker pack 4.

Windows 11 is an operating system without fault or flaw, right? Sometimes technology throws some surprises at this poor avali.

Had a good time visiting the avali meetups at Furality, despite all the technical issues. My computer had a hard time with the second, larger meetup. Crashed twice, but I got to try to meet several birds I recognized

Avalidaephobia - a very rational and not made-up fear that an avali is watching you.

A screenshot from VRChat showing a very ferocious and fearsome avali on a rooftop, partially obscured by a building, looking at the camera. The post itself is inspired by a Far Side comic by Gary Larson that has a duck watching the subject from a window, with the caption, "Anatidaephobia: the fear that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you."

Went to a Christmas-themed world today and saw the avali Numi enjoying a hot tub full of chocolate, a perfect size for one or two avalis! #avali #vrchat

Went to an avali meetup in a VRChat world with a collection of cursed items, I had this hat placed on me that was impossible to remove. I was forced to have festive spirit before December had even arrived! Photo by Numi Avali.

Went over to visit the inventor of Nums Avali Jelly Beans, but they weren't there! I did find some cans of Hell, a very suspicious drink, and tried some magic on them but I'm not sure they are safe for avalis...
