My colleagues and I developed a forecast for whether a tidal marsh would collapse given sea-level rise. We found an unfortunate prognosis for one of the most well-studied wetlands in the world, but we also see this as a tool that can be used to aid in restoration. dx.doi.org/10.1002/ecm....

California's coastal wetlands are an asset in the fight against climate change since they store carbon and buffer sea-level rise. My old lab at UCLA collected data ranging from Humboldt to Tijuana, and now it's available to inform restoration planning efforts. www.nature.com/articles/s41...
