Youth sports is devestating. My son is eight. EIGHT. We foolishly let him try out for a "competitive" (See complete grift) and he was cut. It was good for him to learn that the lesson that everything doesn't come easy, but man. Eight year old tryouts. I hate seeing him hurt. Good lesson for me too.
