YamHam @yamham.bsky.social · 14/10/2026Do you have any manga scholars you’d recommend? I’d be interested in checking out their work 110
YamHam @yamham.bsky.social · 14/10/2026We’re all limited by our own perspective, but it’s hard to pin down what level of expertise you need for your analysis to matter. I personally appreciate your videos about paneling and am glad you put yourself out there. It’s made me want to create something similar since there’s room for way more 110
YamHam @yamham.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I feel like they could’ve gone with Kuroko’s B-ball to better match basuke as a short form 011
YamHam @yamham.bsky.social · 28/09/2026I wish modern Fire Emblem recruitment wasn’t just bribing people with presents. We gotta go back to asking the big questions in the middle of a war zone 000

YamHam @yamham.bsky.social · 23/06/2026there’s also all the single player content lifted directly from Kirby Super Star, like All Star Mode with the Rest Area or SSE in general. but I think the reason Sakurai could reuse so much so easily is because enough of the original game’s framework is intact in Smash 120
YamHam @yamham.bsky.social · 23/06/2026mostly the controls. directional inputs for copy ability movesets already feel fighting game inspired, but some specifics like dash attacks and directional aerials are especially like proto-Smash. both shoulder buttons also block, and Mirror Kirby has a bubble shield that looks like the Smash one 120

YamHam @yamham.bsky.social · 09/05/2026I think it’s unfortunate so many people read manga vertically, but we still get some great 2 page spreads in modern manga. They might be less frequent though? Not sure 020

YamHam @yamham.bsky.social · 13/04/2026I remember week 1 of Ultimate, the game would regularly match up players with completely different rulesets, so you’d be forced to play a match on some awful stage or be penalized 30 minutes for quitting 150
YamHam @yamham.bsky.social · 09/04/2026you know you don’t need to say if you know you know because if they really know they know they know without if you know you know 000
