Encore merci à toutes celles et ceux qui m'ont autorisé à les nommer dans ces planches. J'ai volontairement exclus les plus de 50 créateur·ice·s (!!!) qui ont activé le bridge sur ces 3 derniers mois, en réponse à mon invitation, car je pense c'est trop récent pour avoir une opinion. #BridgyFed

Il y a plus de 40 millions de comptes sur Bluesky, et moins de 100000 sont bridgés. Une minuscule partie.

Mais vous en connaissez p't'être (ou pas) déjà parmi elleux, qui sont déjà bridgés depuis longtemps sans que vous sachiez. Pour certain·e·s, je leur ai personnellement proposé de bridge, et ça me fait plaisir de voir qu'iels sont toujours bridgé·e·s aujourd'hui. Ça me conforte dans l'idée que je ne leur ai pas trop forcé la main, et qu'iels s'y retrouvent bien avec le bridge (ou à défaut, iels n'en sont pas mécontent·e·s). Surtout les créateur·ice·s (et merci de m'avoir autorisé à vous nommer), et p't'être que vous en reconnaissez :

De toutes ces années passées à utiliser Bridgy, je retiens que parler du bridge est un très bon moyen de le répandre. En parler, et demander directement aux gens de bridge. Thanks again to everyone who granted me permission to name them in these slides. I purposefully excluded the 50+ creators (!!!) who activated the bridge these past 3 months after I asked them, as I think it's a bit too early for them to make an educated opinion. #BridgyFed

$There are more than 40 millions accounts on Bluesky. To this day, less than 100k are bridged. It's a tiny fraction. But you may (or may not) know some of them, who have been bridged for a long while, without you knowing. For some I personally asked them to bridge, and I'm happy to see that to this day they are still bridged. It makes me think I wasn't forcing their hand too much, and they are either happy with the bridge, or at least not unhappy about it. Especially creators (and thank you all for allowing me to name you here), some of which you might know : And a lot (a lot) more friends (that I won't name :9) From my long experience with Bridgy over the years, I've seen that talking about the bridge is a great way to spread it. Most importantly : asking people to bridge. So thank you for reading all that (as you can see I'm very concise), and let's get that word of mouth going! 🔥$

You can use Bridgy to :

Reconnect with Friends, acquaintances, creators you like or look up to, and that may have left Twitter (and other corporate social media) to settle on a "Mastodon instance", or another server of the Fediverse.

Extend the reach of your posts, as the Fediverse hosts millions of users. Some communities have an especially strong culture of sharing.

Discover new people, that may not be on Bluesky natively.

Riding the waves of migrations away from corporate billionaire-owned social media created a little chasm, that may have separated communities between the Fedi and bluesky (and people still on Twitter* and such).

Bridgy Fed fills this gap.

Augmenter la visibilité de vos posts, pour atteindre les millions d'utilisateurs du Fedivers. Certaines communautés ont une très forte culture du partage et du boost.

Faire des rencontres d'utilisateur·ice·s qui ne sont tout bêtement pas sur Bluesky.

Les multiples vagues de migration des réseaux sociaux corporate "milliardaire-owned" ont créé comme une séparation de communautés, avec d'un côté le Fedi, et de l'autre Bluesky (et aussi les gens toujours sur Twitter* et compagnie).Bridgy Fed comble ce gap.
