Dear Colleagues, I am pleased to share that nominations for the 2026 Linda K. Lorimer Award for Distinguished Service are now open through September 8. The exceptional talent, dedication, and ingenuity of Yale’s staff are at the heart of everything we accomplish as a university. In countless ways, their work strengthens our community and advances our mission. Named for Linda Lorimer, whose extraordinary service to Yale spanned close to three decades, this award honors Yale staff members who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to excellence and innovation. I invite you to nominate staff members who, through their work, have pioneered new approaches, solved significant problems, improved how we connect and collaborate, or otherwise contributed to positive change for our university. Both faculty and staff are welcome to nominate individuals or teams of colleagues from our Yale staff community. To submit nominations for this award or learn more about it, visit the Linda K. Lorimer Award website. Please consider recognizing a deserving colleague or team before nominations close on September 8. We will announce the winners of the 2026 awards this fall. Thank you for helping us celebrate the outstanding contributions of our colleagues. Sincerely, Maurie McInnis President Professor of the History of Art
