Today is both #LaborAppreciationDay and #ThankfulForMyDogDay. These motto "Digna Canis Pabulo" on these arms (1591), from the Stammbuch of Ulrich Reutter, literally translates to "The dog deserves food", but as a proverb means something closer to "The laborer is worthy of his pay". #Heraldry
