Depression has me in a chokehold atm, but I have to stay strong. My switch 2 will ship soon and will fix it all, right???? :')

I can't believe I get to become Twinrova again in just a few days. I love her so much.

Stole Madama Butterfly's tibbies to use for Twinrova lol. I love large 4 story tall mommies.

My sewing machine did amazing this weekend, and today it said "Nah, eat shit". My bobbin got tangled, my top thread just yeeted itself off the spool holder, and was just a terror to work with. Tomorrow is another day. (╥﹏╥)

Finishing up a massive job at work and I think I've earned myself a fancy new airbrush as a reward.

Idk what I was thinking in trying to top stitch a stretch pleather into a semi-intricate design. I don't like the material, it doesn't like me, so I'm going to just end our relationship before it becomes more toxic.

Tomorrow Im going to go in hard on cosplay ٩( ᐛ )و It's hard for me to work on cosplay after work because I feel like I used all art points for the day at work and just want to go into loaf mode when I get home.

Xylia of Hylia @xyliaofhylia.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

Why is 'how long did that take?' a relevant question in cosplay? Why is time in general relevant? Do you get MORE impressed if something is done quicker?? If I do something in 4 months vs 4 hours does that make it worse? Better? I've never understood that question.

I went to a con alone and it was an experience. At first I was super terrified, felt like everyone was thinking Im a fucking loser for being alone, but calmed down and people watched with a coffee. Was found by a group and tagged along with them for a bit, and then friends found me and +

I made the first version pre 3ds release, and so my best reference was her official art which differs from her in-game apperance in several ways. Her tabard looks much longer in her art, so I went with what I saw. I had it draped on my art like a maître d most the time bc it was dragging lol

000

Xylia of Hylia @xyliaofhylia.bsky.social · 28/06/2026

Tabard is done. This cosplay has me hyper emotional atm just because it means so much to me.

Sewing the scariest part of this whole cosplay..... A single triangle.

My spine is permanently folded in half and I will wake up in pain daily. But Im proud of how clean these look

Now I get to learn how to applique. The white piece was me trying to be lazy and not use stabilizer so it frayed, the black piece is properly stablized. Tomorrow I'll start working on the outside of her sleeves.

000

Xylia of Hylia @xyliaofhylia.bsky.social · 21/06/2026

Twinrova's sleeve progress. Santa is going to be really good to me this year because I've been really good and pressed all my seams *.☆⸜(⑉˙ᗜ˙⑉)⸝♡.*

I ordered some chalk-like candy to eat while I sew because my tailor's chalk makes my Pica flare up like crazy. It doesn't even taste good, I already tried lmao, but my brain just looks at it and goes, "MmmmmMmmmm chalk"

010

Xylia of Hylia @xyliaofhylia.bsky.social · 13/06/2026

I hope this tailors chalk comes out in the wash, or I will set my house on fire. Anyway, Im pressing my hopes dreams into everyone of these fucking seams. Fuck, I love OOT

I try to stay half way up to date on the news because I think it's important, but I also feel like I'm slowly being waterboarded every time I start reading about the absolute clownary happening because of the geriatric game show host running the country.

New year means new goals and new goals means combatting my situation by pushing through and continuing to do art. So please consider, and share with friends. A girl is trying to find her spark of life again while in a day job that does not value her.

Bought myself a desk lamp finally, which just illuminates how messy my desk gets when crafting. Still plugging away at my little Marten in my downtime ♡
