The last time I’ve ever got to deal with any drama with any people online cuz I’m simply tired and old enough to know better. I’m going to be excruciatingly picky with who I talk to and who I consider a friend moving forward. Keeping most folks at arms length seems to be the right way to go.

A glimpse into the Nintendo Hotline in the UK in 1993. Super Play magazine reports that five people staffed it taking upwards of 5000 calls a day. Modelled after the gargantuan hotline run by Nintendo of America where 350 game councillors had taken 30 million calls since its launch in 1986.

A photo of a page of our copy of the October 1993 issue with a photo of that Nintendo UK offices with two guys with headsets on sat in front of desks advising players as they consulted game folders and played the games peeps called about

Another wider shot of the team at work consulting thick play guide books that look like compiled versions of guides that appeared in Nintendo Power

The top three questions asked: where is the blacksmiths brother in LTTP, where is the 96th level in Super Mario World, and where's the Black Hole in Starwing

Feeling like you can’t be honest as to why you’re just done with a lot of shit and fearing of rocking the boat thanks to past trauma is the worst feeling so the best thing you can do is just move yourself from the situation and hope time heals whatever the problem is. (´ー`)

A screen photo from the archive of polygonal JRPG characters with chibi polygonal designs battling against red four legged creatures. One of the characters (might be jack from his duster and blonde hair) is striking a blow with rays of light against one of them with a blade.

Heavy metal album cover vibes - and plenty of flame! 📺: Wings of Death, Eclipse Software, 1990 (Commodore Amiga)

A snap of a pixel art title screen with dark fantasy imagery of a castle rising above a lake, a western red dragon breathing flame down on serpentine creatures. All against a mountainous backdrop with an image of a sinister looking face and clawed hand rising above them to suggest the antagonist for whatever is about to unfold.

I have a feeling that Sparks isn’t in this game because I haven’t seen him so maybe they’re just going for a traditional health bar thing which is a little disheartening but we’ll see. I’m sure as the year goes by will get more snippet of the game.
