cyberpunk collab being an exception because i think there was significantly more mrover screentime in the trailer over frover iirc. which felt off to me. i would have more to say cause the sexist phenomena in the fandom as a whole is fascinating to talk about but it's late atm

Xsurean @xsurean.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

yeah although i wouldn't argue it's in the option itself but the marketing. the fact both get mentioned is "nice" when they're not "obligated to" and i like how so far they've kept to no canon gender but i feel like they choose to show mrover in specific trailer scenes over others

yeah the powerscaling fans default to as to why rover should always win kind of sucks. "rover used to be the strongest in solaris-iii". I don't ever remember that being stated outright. and why would anything they were in the past matter now. they are a long way away from regaining their prime.

kind of nervous saying this but i also feel like a lot of the community straight up don't like women. internalised or intentional.

i'm slightly glad that as a result it feels like actual artistic circles are pretty niche? like not the game but the fan art itself. but at the same time i would really like to interact with more artists. that never really happened on twt even though i tried to engage. here and tumblr etc are nice.

Xsurean @xsurean.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

"i don't get why it doesn't have the same creative drive as the hoyoverse communities" you will tell an artist to kts if they even breathe too much around you. mob mentality.

Xsurean @xsurean.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

it's been too long since i've engaged with the wider community regardless of platform. but something the fandom is full of bigots something artists get harrassed constantly because no one knows basic fandom ettiquette something wuwa has a weird amount of ai art bloating moreso than other gachas etc

Xsurean @xsurean.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

i wish there were more wuwa artists on bluesky. why did everyone leave

i feel like i'm moving in the reverse direction when it comes to scarover. it was iconic on release but i didn't join in on the fun. but i think the more time he spends not showing up i feel bad and i do want to see more of them

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

still gonna give xuanfang a go if only for the fractsidus and sentinel lore but i don't really understand what hsin brings to the table by being a direct sentinel and not just a resonator. fantastic design and combat animations though. meta wise skipping until new fed however.
