Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I have a shift at FNaX (Five Nights at Xopy's) today and it's going good so far!

Since Pokemon Bank is closing soon, every stream that I'll do until bank's closure, I'll be helping everyone who wants to transfer their pokemon up from older games to home. It doesn't matter if it is in original hardware or in emulator, as long as the pokemon itself is legal :)

I talked with ben about it a bit ago, the issue has been resolved. It was not robbery, since ben was completely unaware about it. He even offered me a refund and a subscription cancelation if I email their support email. I wasn't thinking clearly when I made this post and I apologize for it.

I started playing octo expansion for the first time since I don't own a switch 2 to play raiders in, and I think I ruined the immersion with the game as soon as I started it 😭😭😭

that feeling when you want to go live but don't really know if you should so you stare at obs for 10 minutes doing nothing

041

Xopy @xopy.standingintheodds.com · 19/07/2026

A friend reached out to me and told me that I shouldn't post these stuff because it seems like I'm trying to cancel people. I just want to clarify that cancelling anybody isn't my intention. I'm just talking about issues that I have been experiencing and venting about them

030

Xopy @xopy.standingintheodds.com · 19/07/2026

I don't want to lose those privileges, I don't want to be forced to stop socializing with meeting new people. I am afraid of being recognized as a popular person because if that happens then everyone will start to treat me in an insincere "nice" way. I am afraid of growth (5/5)

140

Xopy @xopy.standingintheodds.com · 19/07/2026

Honestly all of this made me realize some stuff about myself. I am currently a small niche shinyhunting streamer that is about to hit 1k followers. I like making friends with my audience. I like meeting new people. I like being treated for who I am. (4/5)

140

Xopy @xopy.standingintheodds.com · 19/07/2026

And what makes it worse? I've seen other people with bigger follower count and/or viewer base who did the exact same thing that I did in those communities and no one says anything because "They're Popular" or "I like them a lot" (3/?)

130

Xopy @xopy.standingintheodds.com · 19/07/2026

Like, in other shinyhunting communities, when I talk about projects that I'm making and am excited about everyone is respectful to me, but when I do it specifically in either Phase 2 or Team Showdown I get scolded because of "Self Promo" (2/?)

130

Xopy @xopy.standingintheodds.com · 19/07/2026

I have been talking with a friend on discord about the reason why I decided to leave the Phase 2 discord server since they were confused, I just replied with "popularity-based discrimination" (1/?)

130

Xopy @xopy.standingintheodds.com · 19/07/2026

That's a fair point, but I have been in other shinyhunting servers, some that were bigger than those and those vibes that I was talking about were not there at all. Shoutouts to the r/shinypokemon discord server btw

000

Xopy @xopy.standingintheodds.com · 18/07/2026

Not everyone was like that ofc, but from the impressions I gathered it did felt a lot like that

010

Xopy @xopy.standingintheodds.com · 18/07/2026

Like, I felt like the people who ran those servers wanted to be influential?? Like I felt it was very content creator focused, like as in the servers were trying to profit from them. Idk if I'm explaining myself well, but that's what I felt about those servers

110

Xopy @xopy.standingintheodds.com · 18/07/2026

Alr, I did it, I created a shinyhunting community server. Here's the invite to it if you want to join it! discord.gg/hanqTkdeCA Right now only me and a moderation bot are in it, the server is very new, but I hope people join it!

Kinda related but not at the same time. I'm starting to consider on making my own shinyhunting centered discord server. One that wouldn't have any of that corporate jazz. Please let me know if you would be interested by commenting or by just liking the post

Xopy @xopy.standingintheodds.com · 18/07/2026

If you still want to be in contact with me but those were the only servers that we shared on discord, I decided to add a contact me page in the website that I have been working on to document my shinies! I would love to have more shinyhunter friends! xopy.neocities.org/contactme (3/3)

Nothing against the people in there, there will be people that I'm going to miss, but like I said before, I don't feel comfortable in those servers. That feeling has been more present ever since the shinydex drama happened. (2/3)

130

Xopy @xopy.standingintheodds.com · 18/07/2026

I decided to leave both the phase 2 and the team showdown discord servers. I know this is very sudden, but I have come to realize that those two servers have a lot of corporate vibes, and that was probably why I didn't feel comfortable on talking that much there. (1/?)

Can I be real for a second? I hate gender dysphoria. Why can't I look like a girl irl? When I'm online I feel happy, I get to be myself, I get to be who I am, a girl. But when I'm off my pc or phone and start looking at a mirror I just start feeling aughhhhhhhhhh Why can't I be a girl all the time?!
