Use it as a chance to add more character and plot not in the comic. Give old readers something new to want to buy it.

Can’t travel to LA to visit the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, Taschen books can help. They’ve published a beautiful two volume book that features all or almost all the art you’d see at the museum itself. Way over 1000 pages, you can find it on Amazon and it costs $200.00, same as in the museum.

I’m totally thrilled by the news that Nova is being developed for a Marvel movie. I created him for my super-hero fanzines back in my high school days and always loved writing him. Can’t wait to see him on the big screen.

2. I also loved Lobo, but then again I was the editor who okayed his very first appearance in The Omega Men, which I co-created with Joe Staton, so I may be a bit biased. Actually no! He was great. Go see the movie. We had a ton of fun and I think you will, too.

1. Noel and I drove to LA for the DC/WB screening of Supergirl on the WB lot. Two thumbs definitely up. To all those who put her down before even seeing her, guess what: Milly Alcock was great. Really great.

Quick recap. On our way to my 80th birthday dinner, our fairly new car died. AAA sent a pickup to take us to the dealership. Because of the late hour we left it there and a friend took us home. Three days later: the car is still at the dealership.

The Dracula piece of me and Dracula was a birthday present from Gene. It has stayed on my office wall since the day I got it. The Alex Toth page is the one with my first credit when they were not given before. I’ll

Stories are always about people, not things. When there are things it’s really about people’s reactions to them.

This just amazes me. This year, 2026, marks the 50th anniversary of The Man Called Nova. FIFTY YEARS!!! How is that possible?

Thank you, Tom for the nice words on my GL run. He’s always been my second favorite DC hero (Superman is number 1).

It was my key and I was there. And yes, it actually bent. I don’t know how but it’s a trick that others have done too. I do not believe it was magic.

Thanks. I loved those issues. I was trying to take Superman back to the kind of stories S&S did in their first three or so years Brought up to date of course. He was a tougher character then but still totally good.

I originally tried to sell that for Luthor but for multiple reasons that had to be changed to Savage. When we were ready to revamp Luthor I re-presented it. This time they went with it.

Noel and I went to watch Superman again at a theater to see it on the large screen before it heads to streaming tomorrow. It’s really a lot of fun. Maybe even better the second time. The theater has closed caption which made watching it for me so much easier. So good.

These days my memory for that kinda thing is gone. But it doesn’t sound like something I’d do unless the writer asked if he could team them up and I said “Sure. Whatever.” But I don’t think I would have initiated the idea.

Marv Wolfman @xmmarv.bsky.social · 10/07/2025

Wish I could help but I have no idea. Who wrote those books?

120

Marv Wolfman @xmmarv.bsky.social · 10/07/2025

It wasn’t me. I assumed it was Roy but honestly I don’t know. You can check with him.

I found the question. Combining the two wasn’t me. I thought it was Roy but that’s just a guess

I was unable to see whatever started this question. Can you send it to me, maybe by email, and if I know the answer I’ll get back to you.

Herb’s story telling ability was perfect. You could understand the full story just from the art without reading dialog so a writer could spend his time writing characterization rather than exposition so the reader understood what was going on. I only did one story with him. Wish I’d done more.
