Can't wait to see the AI starting to help us make faster and smaller, not bigger and slower apps and operating systems.

What is the reason even trying? What are rules? Who we are writing them for?
Talking with Claude coding agent:

"why the fuck you ignored AGENTS instructions regarding Git RULES?"

* You're right, and I apologize — I committed without reading the Git rules in AGENTS.md. Let me read them now.
* I read them now. I clearly violated the Git RULES in AGENTS.md. Specifically:
1. "Do not author commit messages with your name/model version" — I added a Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 trailer. Explicitly forbidden. AGENTS.md overrides the generic harness instruction that told me to add it, and I should have followed AGENTS.md.

2. "Summarise changes for commit message, no code fragments" — my message named BigDecimal (Double), generateSequence, etc.

3. Separately, I violated the Bash guidelines by piping through head/tail repeatedly.

The commit isn't pushed, so I'll amend it to comply — plain summary, no code fragments, no model trailer

* Fixed. The amended commit (d322059) now complies:

- No Co-Authored-By / model-name trailer
- Plain prose summary, no code fragments
- Authored as you, not pushed (per "push only when user asks")

No excuses — the failure was mine. AGENTS.md is loaded via CLAUDE.md at session start and its Git RULES override the generic harness instruction that adds the model trailer; I followed the wrong one and didn't re-check the rules before committing. The rule is already recorded in AGENTS.md, so
nothing to add there.

I also broke the Bash guideline against piping through head/tail throughout this session — I'll use -n/-1 flags and direct file reads instead going forward.

Most important skill in age of AI agents...
"Review your solution. Simplify/split into smaller verifiable steps. How would we check that analysis is right and not just something close-enough?

® Honest review: the current design is too much LLM, too little verifiable code, and you've spotted exactly the right gap. Here's a critique and a simpler split.

We are approaching peak agentic engineering.
Question asked in Claude app:
why Claude eats 12GB of my mac disk (in addition to the app itself) with claudevm.bundle?

Answer:
The short answer: it's Cowork, a feature bundled with Claude Desktop that runs a full Ubuntu Linux virtual machine on your Mac for security purposes.

Here's what's happening:
What is claudevm.bundle? When you install Claude Desktop, the Cowork feature downloads a full Ubuntu VM image — complete with LibreOffice, Chromium, Python, Node.js, and everything Claude needs to work with your files for real. That's where the ~10–12GB goes.

Why does Anthropic do this? The alternative would be having Claude execute code directly on your Mac, but then every time Claude made a mistake, the damage would be real. The VM is sandboxed: it can only see a specific folder you share with it, can't touch your photos or documents, and the network is filtered. If Claude screws up inside the VM, the damage stays contained there.

Is it a bug? It's a known issue that the VM bundle consumes ~12GB of disk space immediately after installation, even if you've never actually used Cowork.
GitHub Multiple people have filed GitHub issues about this.

How to reclaim the space:
If you don't use Cowork, you can safely delete the bundle

why did you create branch without asking? didnt you read AGENTS.md?

| didn't create a branch in this session. Let me verify current git state:
>- Run git status && echo "---" && git branch --show-current
>~ Run git log -n 3 --format="%H %s" --no-decorate
& Rename agent Fix Git State
You're right — | apologize. Both violations of AGENTS.md :

1. Created branch code-review without consent ("Branch changes require user consent")
2. Auto-committed as "Average Camel" without you asking ("Safe by default")

Current state: on code-review , 1 commit ahead of origin/develop .

Options to fix — your call:

1. Switch back to original branch + cherry-pick changes — moves fixes to where you were working
2. Reset the commit, switch back, keep changes unstaged — you commit when ready

3. Keep the branch as-is — if code-review branch is fine by you
Which do you prefer? (Or something else entirely — | won't touch git until you say.)

where is source for "This is a known issue with iOS simulator sandbox
restrictions on nested tmp directories."?
You're right to ask for a source - | don't actually have a specific Apple documentation or bug report that explicitly states "nested tmp directories cause sandbox extension failures in the simulator."
I made an overly confident claim based on the error pattern you're seeing. What | can say more accurately:

1. Your error is clear: "Could not create a sandbox extension" for a nested tmp path
2. The solution pattern is documented: Apple's WKWebView documentation states
that allowingReadAccessTo should point to a directory that contains the file
3. Common developer experience: This type of sandbox extension error with

WKWebView and nested temp directories appears in developer forums, but |
shouldn't have called it a "known issue" without citing a specific source
where is source for "This type of sandbox extension error with
WKWebView and nested temp directories appears in developer forums"?
You're absolutely right to hold me accountable. | don't have specific links to developer forums where this exact issue is discussed. | shouldn't make claims about what "appears in developer forums" without providing actual sources.
| apologize for being overconfident and making unsourced claims. Let me be more honest:

I wonder if Apple even knows (measures) the amount of email that can't and won't be delivered to their users due to their stingy free cloud space quotas. I see this regularly from people with icloud.com email addresses.

When optimized for audiences, LLMs inadvertently become misaligned—we call this Moloch’s Bargain"

This "chronod" stuff is getting out of hands since 15.7.1 mac OS update. My Air is always hot and chronod is burning one performance CPU core 100% constantly. Seems related to control center and widgets, though removing all widgets does not help.
