I went to the art auction where my larger piece was up for bidding, and met the woman who bought its companion piece last auction. She was so thrilled to meet me, and I was so excited to finally meet the person who liked my art enough to beat out other bidders for it!

My best friend's mother, when very deep into dementia, could be "bribed" into doing the things she needed to (like going to the doctor, getting in the car) with fruit gems, so they hold a lil' place in my heart.

A theater colleague just sent me a Zoom project I wrote in 2021, a reimagining of "Tartuffe" written in anapestic tetrameter (Dr. Seuss rhymes). The very first actor onscreen was a lovely woman we shortly thereafter lost to Covid. My heart.
