a very pale purple flower with five notched lobes shaped like a capital Y. behind the spreading lobes, the narrow, tubular corolla is a darker shade of purple. something orange, either a stamen or a style, is hiding just within the mouth of the corolla.

a lavender flower with five heart-shaped lobes. the purple-rimmed, star-shaped mouth of the corolla tube reveals no secrets regarding what may lie within.

a pale purple flower with five Y shaped notched lobes seen partially from the side, growing among dry grasses. its calyx looks smooth and is light green and reddish. the stem is red and fairly smooth, though the small, opposite, linear, light green leaves are sparsely covered in small hairs. several flowerbuds appear striped, with light green & reddish separated by lighter patches. a white & yellow cedar gladecress flower is blurry in the background.

a lavender flower with five heart-shaped slightly notched lobes, growing among green sedges and fallen tree leaves. its calyx is not visible, but the calices of developing flowerbuds are purple and quite hairy. some buds are imminently fixing to open up, and look like cones with swirling lines. the green stem is dense with hairs, as are the stout, green, opposite leaves. green and brown mottled leaves of yellow trout lilies are blurry in the background.
