So does anyone want me on a podcast to talk about Spider-man: Brand New Day?

xHARDCOREGAMERx @xhardcoregamerx.bsky.social · 24/07/2026

Hey! Hi! Go preorder this book or chance picking one up at TFN! Because it’s good, the profits all go to charity and, I’m in it…

On my way for a few days in Manchester! Navigating a swollen toothache face, very little sleep and a terrible state of mental health, but screw it, we ball!

Well everyone, I’d like to introduce Manny and Reilly! Manny and Reilly, everyone. They’re currently acclimating to their new tank, I’ll pop them in properly in about an hour. Its been a journey for me to finally get to this point, so prepare for me to be fully unbearable about these guys 😂

I pulled out the ol’ light box as it’s been ages since I did any figure photography! I’m hyped for the release of Spider-man: Brand New Day so I thought it’d be fun to do something BND themed, so here you go! Spidey and Punisher, doin’ stuff! Enjoy!

Thought some people might be interested in seeing this, it’s my original 1987 VHS copy of The Transformers The Movie! As in my original copy. From my childhood. That was bought for me. When it was released. ITS OLD AND I LOVE IT.

On the way to Milton Keynes for Collectormania! I’m very excited to potentially make some poor financial decisions! Let’s goooo!

Anyone headed to Collectormania in Milton Keynes this weekend!

One if my favorite comic artists, in a huge crowd, wearing the t-shirt of one of my favourite bands, launching the 3rd series of animated adaptations of his books! I can’t wait for @zerocalcare’s “My Two Cents” on Netflix this week! Not sponsored, but damn do I wish it was!

xHARDCOREGAMERx @xhardcoregamerx.bsky.social · 25/05/2026

This has made me irrationally happy this morning.

xHARDCOREGAMERx @xhardcoregamerx.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

It’s a bank holiday weekend so of course I’ve gone to the big B&M and spent £70 on tote boxes and picture frames. As you do.

Watching @toygrind.bsky.social’s latest video reminded me that I also have both volumes of the Allspark Almanac, I’d forgotten I had them! Mine are signed by @jimsorenson.bsky.social, Bill Forster and the late great Derrick Wyatt. I forgot how amazing these books are!

I picked up this OG @sarahgraley.com book from the pre-loved section at a local comic shop today and upon opening it just now it’s actually signed!! I don’t know who Glyn is, but it’ll go well with my books I got signed at comic con a few years ago!

Got a hair cut, trimmed my beard and wore a cool t-shirt today! What did you do?

xHARDCOREGAMERx @xhardcoregamerx.bsky.social · 01/05/2026

I’ve finished my Scarlet Spider suit! l’ve ordered some better web shooter gauntlets, more closely resembling my original idea, but these ones will do for now! I bought the Lycra bodysuit but everything else has been either made from scratch or modified by myself! I’m super happy with it!

The Scarlet Spider suit!
Ignore the unfortunate printed muscle-tone around the crotch area…

The Scarlet Spider belt and ankle cuffs!
I swear I’m wearing a dance belt here too!

A poor action pose and my flat is tiny and I don’t have much space for such things!

I now have all the pieces to start my very very dumb new Warhammer 40K army! It’s so very very dumb and I’m so excited!

Another part of my Scarlet Spider cosplay, and one that I thought about for a while, is complete! It’s all coming together!

030

xHARDCOREGAMERx @xhardcoregamerx.bsky.social · 23/04/2026

Just commissioned a well-known prop maker for some pieces to complete my dream cosplay! Just waiting on an Aliexpress order for parts so I can finish making what I can make myself! It’s all coming together!! Eye lenses and hoody made by me!

Leicester Comic-Con was… Ok. If you like Pokemon cards or Plushies you probably had the best time, but for me being a Marvel Legends and Comics collector it wasn’t the best. Still, I bought a couple of cool comics, including an early issue of 2000’s Ultimate Spider-man!

010

xHARDCOREGAMERx @xhardcoregamerx.bsky.social · 19/04/2026

Enroute to Leicester Comic-Con! I’m hoping to find some cool stuff there, but I guess we’ll see what we can find! If you’re also there, please come and say hi!

Leicester Comic Con this Sunday! No idea if it’ll be any good or not, but figured it was worth a shot!

000

xHARDCOREGAMERx @xhardcoregamerx.bsky.social · 14/04/2026

New Spider-man cosplay incoming… Still got quite a bit to do, but holy crap I’m so excited! Possibly my favourite Spider-man character of all time, the Scarlet Spider! The white lenses I made from scratch, the hoody is from Primark, I made, cut and spray painted the stencil.

Ok, there is some *interesting* shading on this suit… 😂😂😂

I managed to find this amazing 1997 Marvel Universe 12in Scarlet Spider figure in a local vintage toy shop today! I love the Scarlet Spider suit and getting a vintage figure has been a bit of a grail for me, so I’m happy to have him in my small 90s 1/6 collection! Just need a vintage 5in one now!

030

xHARDCOREGAMERx @xhardcoregamerx.bsky.social · 05/04/2026

I forgot I had this! It’s a pretty rare vintage 80s Transformers Soundwave tape player! I retrieved it from my Dad’s house last time I visited, only problem is he’s massive and I’m not sure where to display him!

Imagine if the bible was real and Jesus did actually return. A brown-skinned Palestinian Jew. In this current political climate he’d be crucified all over again.

In all the “excitement” of my relationship ending I forgot to post pictures of series 2 of the Blokees Spider-man figures. Here’s a group shot of both waves, I’ll take some decent photos of them individually soon, might help to cheer me up a little. Love to you all.

000

xHARDCOREGAMERx @xhardcoregamerx.bsky.social · 02/04/2026

So my relationship ended yesterday. It was mutual, we both realised that we couldn’t provide what the other needs right now. It doesn’t suck any less though.

Apparently I moved into my flat 2 years ago today! That time has gone very quickly! I still love living here, even if solo living gets a little lonely at times.

Popped to my Dads today and managed to dig out a huge chunk of my graphic novel/tpb collection from his shed, including my favourites which I though were lost/destroyed: The complete Peter Parker story for Ultimate Spider-man! I can’t wait to re-read these!!

I’m hosting some animation workshops at a local arts festival today! I’m very excited about it but it’s definitely going to be a true test of my social anxiety! Hoping the ADHD hyper focus means I just won’t notice! Wish me luck!

Today I was Smyths toys, stood next to a group looking through the marvel figures whilst checking stock on their phone. They ended up grabbing a member of staff who checked the back, then came back to help them look… For the Daredevil: Born Again Punisher figure… That was in my hand…

xHARDCOREGAMERx @xhardcoregamerx.bsky.social · 25/03/2026

So the HP show trailer is out. I used to like HP, read all the books, loved the movies and even applied for a tour guide job at the studio, but have avoided it since Joanne started her bullshit. I caught a glimpse of the new trailer and it just looks exactly the same as the movies? Who is this for?

Back in 2005 I began living a straight edge lifestyle, a punk subculture based on no alcohol, smoking or illegal/harmful drugs. In 2025 I celebrated 20 years of this lifestyle and today I cemented this by getting a new tattoo! Almost at 21 years edge and counting, I’m now a hand tattoo person!

Electrician has finished so I can finally leave the house!

140

xHARDCOREGAMERx @xhardcoregamerx.bsky.social · 24/03/2026

Got an electrician here sorting out my supposedly illegal plastic fusebox so I’m without power for up to 6 hours, which is just neat. It’s also overcast so very little bright light getting in so I can’t even read all that easily. A dilemma indeed!

030

xHARDCOREGAMERx @xhardcoregamerx.bsky.social · 23/03/2026

I simply had to change up my cinema board to quote one of my favourite movies!

It’s a vintage toy grails, taking my self out for lunch and selfies kind of a day. Social anxiety is peaking so once I’ve run my errands I’m going home to hide under a blanket…
