I didn't meant to spend over £40 on comics, honest! It was an accident!

UPDATED: 8-Ball's character profile! 8-Ball's pool cue is now listed as an Iconic Item, with two powers and one restriction. To allow for this, the ability "Combat Support" has been removed. Follow the link below to download it! drive.google.com/file/d/16rSL...

When it come to playing MMRPG, how many chats are too many? 🤣 1. My personal chat with my fiancé, because he's also our Narrator - and we talk about the game A LOT. 2. The full group for general chat and organising. 3. The chat with just us players, for roleplay ideas, strategy etc. Too many? 🤣🤣

I was so sad to hear about the passing of Will Murray this morning. Literally the first thing I saw when I woke up. I love Squirrel Girl dearly. When my partner said he wanted to start running MRPG, I knew I wanted to play as Doreen. I've been playing as her for two years now.

Currently nursing a sprained ankle, so I figured it was a good time to catch up on the Alien: Earth-616 MMRPG from @fuzzyonthedetails.bsky.social and friends. Oh, and maybe jot down some ideas for a(nother) mini-arc...

Plus this very familiar pose... If I'm right, and this is basically FFXIV's Aerith, I'll cry. She's my favourite video game character of all time. There's also a shot in the trailer immediately after this that gives major Sephiroth & Aerith vibes.

"You hold Doom's favor, Doom's respect, and Doom's love. Few have experienced the merest taste of any, and none have ever possessed all three." There are multiple reasons why I love Doctor Doom. His relationship with hos god-daughter Valeria is pretty high up on that list 💚

Honourable mention to this little gem, which I bought because one of the stories was written by Mikey Way 😂 I still have it, as well as all my other single issues from this time.

Grant Morrison and Alan Moore came next, and yes, this was largely because of Gerard Way and My Chemical Romance 😂 I knew Morrison's name from The Invisibles, but then Gerard mentioned something about The Filth. At this point the Watchmen movie was on its way, with MCR's 'Demolition Row' cover...

...I picked up the first volumes of Preacher and Fables around the same time. These are still two of my favourite comics ever. They're getting a bit dog-eared from countless re-reads and being propped open to practice drawing the characters

2) Vertigo: First Offenses Gerard Way got me hooked on comics (a lot of the entries in this thread were some of his own favourites), especially wanting to draw them. My mum went to Forbidden Planet and asked for book recommendations for me. She came home with a stack of single issues and this:

1) The Umbrella Academy Issue 5 was the first comic I ever bought (the guy in our Forbidden Planet still works there). As a huge MCR fan, I was so excited to read Gerard Way's comic. But I was a rural farm kid, and the internet didn't have its hooks in me so the initial release date passed me by 😂
