Alex Guthrie @xez.no · 10/04/2025I haven't found a single UI framework that doesn't make me want to rip my hair out.. so I'm back to working on that one I mentioned a few months back. It's entirely immediate mode now, with some additional tweaks like having almost-snappy window resizing, and marginally better text rendering. 040
Alex Guthrie @xez.no · 23/03/2025started experimenting with a water shader today - because we don't really have one 2102
Alex Guthrie @xez.no · 13/02/2025Some progress on OpenTPW, a re-implementation project for Theme Park World. Model & texture loading is 90% there, need to tackle fonts next 281
Alex Guthrie @xez.no · 17/01/2025You can always resurrect your 3-years-abandoned UI framework project. It's always morally correct. 040
Alex Guthrie @xez.no · 07/11/2024Nvidia realised that they have to allocate more of the fab space they bought to make GPUs for AI, which means they have to shaft their gaming customers. Similar thing happened with crypto, and it'll happen after the AI bubble pops too. Stop buying from them. They don't care. 040
Alex Guthrie @xez.no · 07/11/2024The joint lengths on this are a bit messed up at the moment, but being able to give developers hand tracking with almost zero effort on their part should hopefully lead to some interesting experiences. 130
Alex Guthrie @xez.no · 25/10/2024"Apple really cares about user experience" okay then can they make it so that I can stream 5.1 audio over AirPlay rather than having to use a macbook and a ridiculously long HDMI cable 120
Alex Guthrie @xez.no · 24/10/2024My twitter "for you" feed is like 75% right-wing garbage now, despite me never interacting with it, and always scrolling past. Not sure if it's because of the upcoming election or if they've tweaked the algorithm on there, but it's insufferable regardless 140
Alex Guthrie @xez.no · 18/10/2024I think this website sucks and I was going to give it a chance by posting something I've made, except I just realised I don't really make anything *worth* posting anymore, so I dunno check out this shit I did ages ago 161
