I'd love a citation for those claims because they're not consistent with any data I've seen. This graph only goes through 2022 but contradicts them (and real wage growth has stagnated since then while every other item including food has gotten more expensive, so I don't think it's missing anything).

Rapists are 100% at fault and need to be held accountable more, no argument there. But there will always be sociopaths in society so I don't think being able to be oblivious to danger will ever be realistic (and not just women wrt sexual assault - applies to any person and any kind of crime).

Life was a lot more fun when it was about self-exploration and partying and not having real adult responsibilities rather than paying a mortgage, caring for aging/dying parents, and taking care of kids. But as a grown-up I realize you don't get to be young and irresponsible forever.
