I ran a challenge with Belcher to get that deck out of my head and I ended up splitting the event🏆 I have less time for modern these days, as I'm spending a lot of time with limited players (and working on standard). So I'm considering picking this deck for comfort reasons! @fireshoes.bsky.social

And a nice legacy challenge top 4 with S&Tell to finish a solid week of grind 🫡 I copied the decklist of JPA93, the master of the archetype. Deck was fun, especially the games against Reanimator were you have to adopt the control role and navigate some really long games! @fireshoes.bsky.social

Fourth challenge win this week (!), this time with hollow one 🏆🫡 This list has started posting a lot of results recently, I think it's being slept on. The H1 hands are obviously really explosive, but there are a lot of different strong openings you should look for ! @fireshoes.bsky.social

Vintage challenge win with netdecked dredge 🏆💀 I drew a lot of double bazaar hands, which seems to be the key to success ! I enjoyed playing a lot of different formats this week, now it's time for the arena direct limited grind 🫡 @fireshoes.bsky.social

Top 16 with an old favorite of mine 💙 This deck typically plays like a slower but more resilient version of Belcher. The modo metagame is currently very combo-oriented and Energy is at an all-time low. So it's a perfect time to cast some Selective Memory! @fireshoes.bsky.social

Xenowan @xenowan.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

I won another challenge today with one of the best constructed deck I've played in recent memories🏆 Thanks to Musasabi for the decklist ! This deck can consistently win on turn 4 and is also really hard to disrupt, it has Nadu vibes. Squirrel cosplay incoming 🐿️? @fireshoes.bsky.social

I won today's challenge with an eldrazi pile built by YungDingo 🏆 The concept looked pretty interesting, but I wouldn't recommend this deck in its current form ! More thoughts below ⬇️ @fireshoes.bsky.social

Clean sheet for the team 🥖🇫🇷 🐅 I played a really strong boros deck with Photon and Aurelia. I'm so excited to open another pool tomorrow, team sealed has been a blast🔥

Finished 9-6-1, I needed to go 10-6 to requalify 😔 2-3-1 in limited 7-3 in modern I lost two win-and-in unfortunately, back to square one now 🫡 Despite my best efforts to improve at limited, I was simply not good enough for the field. It's going to be my main focus until worlds

5-2-1 at the end of day 1 at PT MSH ! 1-1-1 in limited with a strong Selesnya deck 4-1 in constructed with Chalice Tron I'm excited to draft again and try to do better in day 2 🙏 @fireshoes.bsky.social

🏆with an updated build of 8 frog! I beat energy three times, Goryo and Chant. The few changes mattered, the list felt a bit smoother. The maindeck is pretty solid, I'd switch the fourth Subtlety for a second Teferi going forward. 3rd Subtlety could also be something else. The SB still needs work!

Top 4 in a challenge with Cascade Frogs 🐸 The idea comes from @yellowhat.bsky.social and Edgar, who mentioned the synergy between Frog and Practiced Offense in their podcast! The list was built in about 30 minutes, so there are some blatant mistakes 😅 Updated build below 👀 @fireshoes.bsky.social

Bronze to mythic run is over, I hadn't done that in a few years! I'd like to play more arena events and my short term goal is still to improve at limited, so it felt like a reasonable use of my time :) SOS was a pretty fun set all things considered. Here are my favorite decks from the ladder run:

Died in semis of today's challenge (8-1) with a list of Gruul Broodscale I netdecked 🦎 The proactive combo plan is strong and you have the option to turn into a grindy midrange deck if needed. There is also a lot of nuance in sideboarding with plenty of room for adaptation! @fireshoes.bsky.social

Xenowan @xenowan.bsky.social · 29/05/2026

Challenge top 8 with Boros Ponza inspired by @kellenpastore.bsky.social + trophy in the warm-up league for a 12-1 record🏆 The deck is genuinely good despite my initial doubts! It has a very unique matchup spread and is favored against many of the best decks in my opinion. @fireshoes.bsky.social

Xenowan @xenowan.bsky.social · 25/05/2026

Top 16 in the legacy showcase with Stock Tron 🫡 0-1 => 7-1 => 7-2 😿 Both losses were to the mirror match, other games were not particularly close. Tron looks like the clear best deck to me, it's both really powerful and resilient to interaction! @fireshoes.bsky.social

I just won a big modern challenge with Flareless Belcher! The deck has been great for me in the post-ban metagame. I was mostly worried about Boros Ponza, which has been on the rise lately. So I added a second basics in my sideboard, it was enough to beat the deck twice ! @fireshoes.bsky.social

Pretty smooth 7-1 run in the modern challenge, with a build from my friend Nick Cosgrove! I haven't played the deck in a while, the vibes of that flareless list were great ! 2-0: energy 2-1: affinity 2-0: zoo 2-0: jeskai 2-1: affinity 2-1: goryo 2-1: titan 1-2: affinity @fireshoes.bsky.social

I won the first RCQ of the season with the list featured in my metafy guide 🦖 Pretty smooth run, I played against UB frog twice but the Ice-Fang swap was good enough ! If your goal is to win a RCQ, I'd recommend Boros Energy, Esper Goryo, Amulet, Neobrand or Affinity! @fireshoes.bsky.social

8-8 at the end of day 2, slightly below my expectations ! I made an egregious punt in round one of day 2, which affected me more than it should have. I went 0-3 with a decent looking simic deck 🐒 7-3 constructed with Nursery Landfall 1-5 limited I know what to work on at least 🫡🔥

I won today's challenge with Neobrand, 3rd top in a row🦖 This deck reminds me a lot of pioneer Amalia. You are doing the most powerful thing in the format, so your opponent is always forced to respect your combo. It gives you a lot of room to craft a gameplan and apply it 🫡 @fireshoes.bsky.social

This is the SB plan I've used to 3-0 the constructed portion of the mocs! I built this decklist for a field made of jeskai/esper blink, prowess and boros energy I received a lot of questions about the ice-fang package, this should give you a good idea of when to bring it 🐍 @fireshoes.bsky.social

I won Sunday afternoon's challenge with Boros Energy (Piegonti build)🏆 I picked the deck for the first time today after seeing my teammates LucasGiggs and NJ5030 respectively take down a super qualifier and a challenge I'm running hot this week, 23-3 accross 3 challenges🥵 @fireshoes.bsky.social

I finally got to play my first Standard games, with a fairly stock build of Simic Cub. I lost in top 4 to the mirror 🫡 I faced a lot of jeskai control, it's unclear if the matchup is actually bad. They have a lot of good answers, but their deck seem to have many issues @fireshoes.bsky.social

Xenowan @xenowan.bsky.social · 15/01/2026

Back to the mtgo streets with a decklist very similar to the one I ran in the mocs! 7-1 finish in a challenge, I died in the semis to energy, which proved to be a close matchup This configuration is pretty good but it might need some changes for the broader metagame :) @fireshoes.bsky.social

Duel commander trophy with this silly Creative Technique list I've built 🧑‍🎨🏆 The concept is to cast a 6 mana cascade spell on turn 4 by using at least 2 of your 27 sol lands. After cascading into technique/trickery, you'll try to cast most of your deck, just like in legacy! @fireshoes.bsky.social
