I'm just sitting here in awe of how much life this has, especially in the muzzle area, even though it's not actively being worn. Not sure if that makes any sense. I think it's the way you've blended animal and human anatomy so well, that it really just reads as "Oh, that's A Person I Could Talk To"

I don't think this piece exists anymore, sadly. It was in a graduating senior group exhibition and they didn't really work with me on a pickup date after the show. It's been so long now that even if I happened to be in town, I doubt they've kept it.

I liked experimenting with a (very gentle!) damp sponge on a bone dry piece to bring out the texture vs burnishing at a cheddar-ish hard. Just playing with what clay can do and letting it be the surface vs finishing with a glaze.

Ohhh that ceramic texture photo has me missing the clay with grog I used to work with... Normally I hate gritty/sandy textures on my hands, but that clay was so nice to work with for sculptural pieces.

Never shared the glamor shots for Flare's paws, so here they are! Custom sculpted resin claws with interference pigment, with stretch velvet pawpads. Pattern is the Legacy Canine Handpaw pattern by Foxfire Fantasy, but I'm planning to draft my own to use for comms.

Might make a premade design involving it, kind of like how character adopts work? Except you get a custom fitted fursuit in addition to the design. That way I could get the materials and wouldn't be paying out of pocket for something that might not sell.

My first fursuit head, Flare. Started the base back in 2016 (!), was separated from it as I moved states several times, then was finally reunited with him in early 2026. Revamped the base in January, finished the furring and details by March.
