i really think the best approach the ynfg online community can do now is go 18+, most importantly the ynoproject and yume 2kki discord servers. they are just generally not safe spaces for minors. otherwise they would just need far tighter moderation, which they have proven they arent capable of.

and if multiplayer is still important for people, other projects outside of yno can make it work. i hope soon a project gets made that lets people easily host ynfgs in multiplayer to their own site. yno is open source and it already looks like the CU team is making something similar.

i hope something comes along that makes the games easier to run or that easyrpg becomes more widely known about since its straight up a plug and play solution to this. the idea that the games are hard to run just isnt true anymore with it, its just slightly more setup than most games.

there has just been so much shit with ynoproject over the years and im tired of the yume nikki fangame community being so closely tied to it. people find the games through it, the admins run all of the related discord servers and i even heard they are running dream diary jam this year. its fucked up

i didnt know how bluesky worked and accidentally deleted the first message here but i was saying that i was also in the yno admin clique server and there was a grooming situation and i was close with hyo and aya there and there was a document from the victim showing hyo knew it was happening

this whole situation was so unbelievable at every turn and i believe the moderation and admin team on yno to be a huge mess where safety is not taken seriously and moderators are extremely immature and i no longer associate with the site and i dont think others should either. #YNOproblems

after the new CU server was made, i was given access to the server and had my developer role restored, but one of the mods reached out to me to ask further questions. this is when i had learned that hyo and aya were in the background accusing me and my partner of harassing them through whatsapp.

they cited the situation from months prior from when i banned that person, and said they would not be talking to me about it or starting a conversation about the ban. this happened just before the CU split.

they said they would investigate. a month later i asked how the investigation was going. minutes later i noticed i had been banned from the collective unconscious server and the yno server. my partner received a dm from somnium saying she was being demoted from moderator and i was being banned.

at some point i had also made a post to the yume 2kki discord server where i expressed discomfort at the way things were handled in the server and how some of the moderators there were in this server i was in where this situation happened and called for more safety towards minors in the community.

some time passed and an incident occurred where i used my partners moderator account on yno to falsely ban someone who i believed was making trouble. i shouldnt have done it and i regret it, but the situation came and went. and i didnt hear anything for months after it was worked out.

after a day or two they convinced us to join a group with like 7 of them where they had hyo explain why the victim said what they said about him in a document, we were told it was because the victim was mentally ill and he felt like there was nothing he could do but regrets not doing anything.

as soon as i found out, my partner and i reached out to aya to ask about it, and despite the three of us being super close and planning an irl trip where id be hosting her at my house, she told everyone else in the group we had found out, then disappeared from the internet and cut us off entirely.
