Difference between Rachel (gray) and Kris (blue) when it comes to exploring/"making the areas pretty" in #Pokopia

Never apologize, you are amazing.

My coworkers are talking about how they watched the football game and Golden Globes last night. I'm sitting here like, "We watched the SM64 70-star relay from #AGDQ." 😆 Zero regrets.

It's the weekend! Chilling with #PokemonZA, some Baldur's Gate 3, and the beta version of #DragonsBrew. What are you playing?

100

It does! Gotta hide the timer. My cousin throws a sweatshirt over the timer on her machines, lol.

At my previous gym, they had ellipticals with screens that showed nature hikes so I'd listen to the Lord of the Rings music during it. 😆 my current gym has big tvs, some with shows, some with the news, none with subtitles, so audio or paperback books have been my go-to to help pass the time.

Having some sort of physical tracker works, I think. I keep track of the days I actually went to the gym, even if the only machine I use is a treadmill. I kind of game-ify it a bit, knowing that I'm gaining experience points in strength and constitution by going. 😆 Hope this helped a little!

For staying motivated long-term, I have to remind myself that I know I used to be stronger (had a more physical job years ago that I still miss) & I know I can do it again, especially since I'm getting older. Our parents are also aging, & I want to get in/remain fit enough to continue helping them.

Kris here. Going to the gym more consistently is a goal I'm working on as well -- I like working out, I'm just usually mentally tired from the day job to actually want to go. Fortunately, I have cousins who "bug" me to go work out with them, & our gym does have interesting classes available.

A wonderful thread! I adored Arcade Spirits 1 & 2, so I'm keeping a pin in this list for other games to try. Thank you!

Double Jump @xdoublejump.bsky.social · 18/11/2025

Let us know how it is! It's been on our radar, too.

We're gonna make the best goddamn towns & habitats in #Pokopia. Cannot wait for this game!

It is uncanny how often I pick the 1 card I already have in Wonder Picks like this. The odds are in my favor, and I still can't pick a new card. It's a good thing I don't gamble. #PokemonPocket

We definitely spent Friday evening playing video games before hopping on a zoom call for some TTRPG (Mouseguard!) with friends. It was a lovely evening! Today is a writing day and trying to get ahead of some holiday shopping with our cousins. What's everyone else doing this weekend?

Hyrule Warriors: #AgeOfImprisonment is coming out in 3 days and we're absolutely not ready. There's too many games to play. We have no time. Anyone else looking forward to it and getting the game when it comes out?

Double Jump @xdoublejump.bsky.social · 01/11/2025

What #videogames are you playing this weekend? Luigi's Mansion, Vampire Survivors, Fields of Mistria, and Baldur's Gate 3 are our top four!

I rarely give a game a 9 out of 10, but Pokémon Legends: Z-A on the Nintendo Switch 2 has earned it. Check out my @purenintendo.bsky.social review, and let me know if you're having fun with this game... purenintendo.com/review-pokem...

I'm writing a #blog post for our site and it's going in a bit of a different direction than I anticipated... Not a bad thing, more of a, "Huh," kind of thing.

Soooo how's #Hades2? We haven't played the first Hades, admittedly -- we had tried it when it first came out on our old PC. Now that we have more powerful gaming PCs, maybe we'll give these games another try.
