It's lovely to have a clear desk and a project just waiting to be started :)

Bravo Delta @xavah.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

Probably going to be released next year sometime. Looking at the production schedules it's been shot and is in post. Unless there's some drama-llama going on...

I'm sure I read Winter's hated this scene in Band of Brothers. The man smiled, but that was it. He smiled, and he shot him. The scene was over dramatised. (I'm remembering this from a long way back so apologies if I'm wrong)

I think I knew this shop; he does the markets during the week and is too mean to pay someone to run the shop! :)

Riding the 125 back in the day down to London for work was like touching low-grade evil :)

Still calling it; there's no actual fuzzy werewolf. The film instead documents a man's descent into madness. Still looks cool though!

I saw the original back in '78 when it was fresh. The general consensus between our small group was that it was not as good as Star Wars, but the theme music was epic. I've not seen enough of the reboot to really comment.

Nicely done; I'd watch it!

It's the best submarine combat ever filmed ;) Also, the absolute impact when Reliant hits the Enterprise broadside in the torpedo nacelle....amazing.

I was born in the early 50s, so I had the fun of the Cuban Missile crisis, UK style! :) Oh, and Able Archer. Watching the Bikini State go up and up was something.

I was in the Observer Corp at the time this was released. I looked at the bomb plots on exercise and asked the warning officer if it was realistic; "Oh heavens no old chap. The reality will be much worse!".

Ping @nuclearanthro.bsky.social I know you will have seen this, however, the BBC have just posted the clearest version I've seen (apart from when I watched it live on TV!). Their archive is a treasure trove of UK social history. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCXX...

This Finnish guy has been teaching himself Sumerian, and sent a cuneiform tablet to the British Museum to check his progress. They just emailed him that they've sent him something in the post. I'm now thrilled and excited for a total stranger! Clay tablet mail! www.reddit.com/r/Cuneiform/...

I mostly love old effects, especially model based ones. The time and work that went into these is just amazing. I think, for example, the first two Trek movies still hold up very well. However, some of the very old TV rushed compositions and matting are objectively bad.

It'd be interesting to see what desperate items were on the agenda, such that the morale of their staff takes last place.

I'm guessing overhead costs. The other site must be asking too much for what they want to pay, or, things are financially a little dicey with Spirit. Money, it always boils down to money :)

To be fair, I did this once going up stairs, but I had the excuse that I was pulling a shirt off at the exact moment I missed the turn on the landing and went face first into the wall.

Ah, Gladiator. Went to see it with a friend. Hated it (I know, I know...) and promptly fell asleep. Woke up to a *very* sharp dig in the ribs. I had been excessively snoring, drooling like an alien.....and a few hundred people in the packed audience were glaring at me.

Saw the first episode live on the Beeb back in the day. To be fair, there were only three channels at the time, one of which was all static-y, and I hadn't rented a video :)
