Saw an ad in the paper — this was spring 1999 — so went to meet them. Fell in love with two. Couldn't decide and I was single — so still had the kind of free cash that eventual marriage vaporized — so got both. Had them till 2016. They died not long after their 27th birthdays.

Our girl will be 13yo in November. she's got a bit of white, but not as much as prior dogs that age. Had a UTI last week. The labs said her kidneys are starting to have problems, so, dunno if she'll ever get white-face.

Before we adopted our staffy, he loved chomping at the water fishing from a garden hose. Now, he's no use for it. I think he was charming us to get us to bring him home and now had no use for such antics. Won't use a splash pad. either.

So, my Fedi instance wasn't online when I went to post early yesterday morning. Instead, got a banner saying "DB maintenance, it'll be about six hours". Checked back six hours layer and the message changed to "it'll be ten hours" (I assumed that meant "a further four hours".

To me, Eagles ("classic rock", in general)are *way* #boomer land. Kiss is pretty damned close, but I guess they straddle. Metallica *may* straddle, but definitely skews #Xer The country offerings are *so* not "me" (at least, not "pop" country). Dad had a country phase at one point, tho.

Got an email from "Vibee Destinations", today. Previously, I'd signed up with them because I was interested in #EDSea. I get the impression, from the image, they're aiming at people my age, but the destination-music runs boomerish (e.g. Eagles): I'm 56; my dad's dead, but, *was* a #boomer.
