iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

That’s a better way to discourage me. I’ll try to just appreciate their unintended engagement boost from a distance.

Yeah, you’re right… I tend to overestimate how much my response might actually sway their mind. That’s happened with people I’ve disagreed with in real life too who’ve I’ve eventually had to distance myself from. Still wish the best for all of them if they one day decide to become decent people.

100

They’re too comically rude for me to ever actually get upset over them. I respond in case they actually realize how ridiculous they sounded but that’s worked maybe once across all my videos so yeah… it’s probably not worth it.

100

Bruh comment on literally any other recent video of mine where my arrangements have actually been changed based on personal preference, not the near 1 to 1 recreation of a 16-bar loop. These people are funny.

150

Here’s hoping! They’re the arrangements I’m most proud of yet so I hope people love them.

000

Thanks for the reminder!! I was waiting for my first submission to be this announcement actually! And thanks for all YOU do for the community!

110

Aw man, thanks so much Ro! Although I had to move it a bit for framing, I actually do keep your CD there as a little background decoration with my games!

And you’re part of the reason why 💜

Only 6! Four are wind instruments and then I covered the bass and piano parts for two tracks. That said, the *next* album already has some arrangements lined up for flutes I didn’t get to feature on this one.

Very curious to see what MAGFest does to combat the early sellout. I guess if they had certain events occupying other hotels in the harbor it would allow occupancy to be raised a bit but I imagine that’d be such a big logistical hurdle for a comparatively small gain. Anyway, excited to see friends!

Oh absolutely!! It’s a drivable con for me so I can bring a few of my bamboo/wooden guys with me!

Bruh I get that it’s his brand and he needs it to garner attention/recognition (and this is the LEAST important part of what’s going on) but stressing on camera about having such precious little time to dispute the claims while in his DJ getup I can’t imagine he already had on rubs me the wrong way.

I swear the shakuhachi feels like a different instrument every day. It’s so odd

Xander Plute @xanderplute.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Aww thank you! I do generally feel very good with the progress I’ve made on it over the past year. Some days it just feels like the instrument’s fighting me more than others but I know it’ll only get easier

Xander Plute @xanderplute.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Not the cleanest take. Some days just feel worse than others with this thing but that’s ok

VGM friends, what companies have you had success with designing shirts and other merch such as CDs? I’m aiming to make a simple shirt with my logo on it but also maybe look into some more complex designs so I’m looking for manufacturers allowing for a bit more freedom in design placement

I’ve been playing the shakuhachi daily for about two weeks now and the progress that’s allowed me to make already is kinda nuts.

Surprise new flute day! Was thrifting for new apartment stuff with my partner and stumbled across this flute made by Bina India for $10! I believe it’s a bansuri, an Indian flute I’ve actually been wanting for awhile, and it plays really well! Just have to dial in the intonation.

Xander Plute @xanderplute.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Y’know… that’s a pretty good idea for a permanent solution. I could do something like that and fit it into a case to have a custom case for all my different flutes in one place

Xander Plute @xanderplute.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

The Links are eyeing up those flutes debating which one to feature in their next game

Xander Plute @xanderplute.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

The few flutes that I’ve had crack on me over the years would be rolling in their graves… I probably will do this though and just wrap each one individually in a shirt or something

Another move means another day of figuring out how the fuck to safely pack all these guys up
