Space experts said the impact was unintentional. Instead of being sent into orbit around the sun after completing its mission, the rocket's upper stage was left on a trajectory that eventually intersected with the moon.

From CNN article:

Ispace and Blue Ghost missions' second stage, and what has happened is essentially a mixture of solar activity and gravity forces have put it on a path towards the moon."

Independent astronomers used publicly available data to track the Falcon 9 upper stage and determine that it was on a collision course with the moon, according to NASA. The agency's Center for Near Earth Object Studies, which tracks the orbits of space rocks that could crash into Earth, and very occasionally the moon, also confirmed the impact trajectory of the upper stage.

Once I realized that the Democrats it was speaking about or simply those who voted for Trump in 2024 this chart below made a lot more sense as to their favorable views of people like Bush, Ben Shapiro, and Candice Owens.

A chart showing how favorably a respondent views a particular person. Because the Manhattan Institute was only looking at Republicans or anybody else who voted for Trump in 2024 the numbers are not as one would expect for certain individuals on first glance. When the chart states 'Democrats' as the respondents it means Democrats who voted for Trump in 2024. For instance among the Democrats who voted for Trump in 2024 their favorability for George W Bush, Ben Shapiro, and Candace Owens is +22 +13, and +1 respectively. This wouldn't make sense for the general population of Democrats but certainly would make more sense for the population of self-identified Democrats who voted for Trump in 2024.

The crosstab data makes it clearer. The 500 additional voters are mostly independents but some democrats; but as the first image shows, they had to have voted for Trump in 2024. First image also shows that republicans incl. the relative few who didn't vote for Trump.

Those identifying as Democrat but voted for Trump are 71 out of the over 2,200 respondents to the survey. It then leaves blank the columns for votes for Kamala Harris, someone else, and 'did not vote' . This shows that those were not used in the survey. The same is shown for Independence where a total of 403 voted for Donald Trump participated in the survey. The Republican row on the other hand shows votes for Donald Trump as well as, Harris, someone else, and 'did not vote'.

A cross type spreadsheet showing how Democrats who voted for Trump responded to questions about the spiritual theories. This is being shown to reinforce that there's only 71 Democrats participating in the survey because they voted for Trump. The various responses to each question add up to 71. For instance, when asked whether or not the 2020 presidential election was decided by fraudulent ballots or hacked voting machines 26% (or 18) democrats who voted for Trump said it was definitely true. 25% said probably true, 17% said probably false, 27% said definitely false, and 5% were not sure.

No the long-horizon strategy is a large coalition. You can't have that through capitulation/or abandonment. You will lose the group you're abandoning, the people who care about them, the next group in line to be abandoned, and anyone who takes exception to value/rights agnostic politicking

I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can't protect ANY groups if we can't win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That's not "erasing" them; it's long-horizon strategy.

Not to fully undermine your point because I agree that they aren't a trustworthy group but in this case it sounds like they did their job. They were checking/clearing an area before Trump got there and found the danger before he was in any.

It's a deceiving shot but not an uncommon one. People are using telephoto lenses on DSLRs to achieve this effect. Typically from Kenneth Hahn Park

They even had to add an editors note because so many people are misconstruing the intent of the study. But even before that note it's clearly stated and acknowledged that these conspiracies around race aren't without historical merit.
