At the DiscoBowl now, right?? It’s just a bit of a trek for me as I’m up near Manchester now 😫 maybe one week!

@barwars.bsky.social binge-listening some takeaway trivia tonight! Miss you and Bar Wars so much!!

Alex @xad.lol · 30/08/2026

Really?? I thought I’d seen a video from someone who analysed the current R2 builds and noticed they had features that conformed with European laws - like indicator lights in certain places that isn’t common in the US?

000

Alex @xad.lol · 30/08/2026

😣😣😣 my feeling too! Especially as we’re right-hand drive. Maybe 2027 for Europe who need left-hand drive cars though

Alex @xad.lol · 30/08/2026

Just need them to announce a UK release timeline 😫 I am holding off getting any other car because I'm not sure whether it'll be 2027 or 2028 or later...

Posted 28th April saying tomorrow is 28th April. The lows tomorrow are in the negative. Think there’s an issue with the bot! (If it is a bot!)

Been a painful week

000

Alex @xad.lol · 05/03/2026

It is REALLY difficult to explain this to my friends. There is such an obvious spin on news reporting when it involves Israel and it's sickening.

My AYN Thor has been in an airport in London for over 2 days now. Why is it taking so long to leave 😫 I’m so excited for it and the tracking info is not giving me dopamine hits anymore 😭

Does anybody know where I can buy lemon curd jam tarts from? There used to be a time shops sold them in packs of 6. Now the only yellow jam tarts are apricot ones… what happened to lemon curd jam tarts???

Alex @xad.lol · 04/02/2026

Hope they have this red on the R2 when it launches.

Arresting journalists for journalism now. Completely not an authoritarian state though.

No arrests of the ICE thugs who murdered Alex Pretti, Renee Good, or Keith Porter. No arrests of anyone in the Epstein Files. But they arrested Don Lemon because of his journalism.

Yet ICE murderers are allowed to walk away unpunished and January 6th rioters are heralded as “national heroes”. I hope the fascist ghouls in power meet their reckoning.

A fantastic hire for Apple

Alex @xad.lol · 28/01/2026

Remember though, Labour keep telling us the Greens aren’t relevant in the Gorton and Denton discussion and it’s Labour vs Reform - which is why they are using every opportunity possible to talk about the Green Party and attempt to knock them down 🤪🤪🤪

130

Alex @xad.lol · 27/01/2026

The replies to the tweet on the PoliticsUK account posting about that were disgusting. Plenty of your standard mockery of Green Party members being “teenagers” or “high when they made this” but also loads of racism and Islamophobia. That place is a cesspool of the worst people with blue ticks.

000

Alex @xad.lol · 27/01/2026

Nice to come over to this platform and see that not everyone has gone absolutely mental because some Green Party branding at Gorton and Denton was misspelt… I’d like to think that the people of Manchester consider small typos to be much more tame than the politics of Reform, and others.

I grew up with Alex Pretti

The kind-hearted ICU nurse shot by ICE agents was my childhood best friend.

Arsenal losing to our 2026 team but so confidently saying they’d beat our 2008 team 🤪🤪🤪

What a fucking goal, Patrick Dorgu

000

Alex @xad.lol · 25/01/2026

That’s true - then suddenly Labour will rush through a law that says defections require by-elections 🤪🤪🤪

Alex @xad.lol · 25/01/2026

I haven't kept up with his record as Mayor

100

Alex @xad.lol · 25/01/2026

Really?? As an MP, he was a bit more progressive - voting against cuts to benefits...! 2012 was a different time though. But he definitely agrees with higher investment in public services, stronger workers protections, & better support for poorer regions but

Would you recommend Artemis? I loved The Martian, I LOVED Project Hail Mary - maybe my favourite book ever - but I've heard Artemis is the weakest of the 3? I'm currently going through a load of Blake Crouch books, & then will probably start We Are Legion, We Are Bob - but then I need something new!

within - good luck to him, I suppose, if they're not even going to let him run.

030

Alex @xad.lol · 25/01/2026

Yeah, I'd go as far to say that Burnham moderately aligns with the Greens. Probably aligns most with devolution and electoral reform... also with climate change and inequality, but maybe not to the scale of what the Greens want (wealth taxes, etc) - I think he just wants to rebuild Labour from

220

Alex @xad.lol · 25/01/2026

Shocking... but nothing new for the scum that are the deceptive right-wing

010

Alex @xad.lol · 25/01/2026

Genuine question - why not approach @andyburnham.bsky.social and ask if he wants to run as a Green MP in Gorton and Denton? It looks likely Greens take that seat anyway but it’d be a landslide with Andy. Or was Andy’s goal to become PM and change the voting system from within Labour?

them to work. The BILRESA are Matter-enabled so just work with no additional Ikea hub. Genuinely incredible bits of tech. Will be interested to see how long 2x AAA batteries last in them but I fully recommend them if you've got a smart home.

000

Alex @xad.lol · 25/01/2026

I think anothe reason why it's so impressive is that when we moved into this house, I bought every room a TRAFRI switch which cost me like... £7/8 each at the time - double the cost of the BILRESA. They take watch batteries (not AAA like BILRESA) and you have to use Touchlink on Hue hubs to get

Living room has 3 channels for each of the lights. I gave another dual button to my partner to turn off the bedroom lamp, big light, TV, all from bed. Bottom button can send me a push notification to my phone when she needs her water refilling, & holding it turns a fan noise on the speaker for bed

100

Alex @xad.lol · 25/01/2026

For my office dual button: Top button single click: toggle main light Double click: toggle corner lamp Hold: Turn off all lights Bottom button single click: turn radiator on and set temp Double click: Turn radiator off Hold: Toggle my wireless phone charger Essentially becomes a room remote!

100

Alex @xad.lol · 25/01/2026

The scroll wheel has 3 separate channels each with single press, double press, triple press, press and hold, and scroll. So can essentially set it up to control 3 smart lights fully. The dual switch has 2 buttons that has single click, double click, press and hold &also an action for releasing hold

100

Alex @xad.lol · 25/01/2026

Cannot stress how AMAZING the new Ikea BILRESA switches are. £3/£4 each depending if you get the 2 button or the scroll wheel. Matter-enabled. Home Assistant automation blueprints available for both. I bought 2x 2-button and 1x scroll wheel and within an hour had working automations for 3 rooms.
