There's just two weeks to go until Strandfall's first run! Here's how we've divided our real-world park into eight sectors, designed the onboarding, tilted into weird sci-fi, cast our players, and what we're thinking about expansions...

More on Strandfall, the solarpunk orienteering larp I'm making with @x13n.com! Some fun new photos and UI mockups in here, plus I'm trying out a new thing with the "solarpunk" angle, which sounds better and more descriptive than "low tech" or "retro-tech".

I’m prototyping a location-based multiplayer orienteering game with my friend Alex Macmillan, and today was our first field test of the custom hardware he’s built! Our units contain long range (LoRa) radios, GPS, IMUs, with a ePaper displays. The idea is that they can work anywhere.
Alex adjusts a device on a small tripod on a desk in a park. There’s also a jury-rigged tall antenna. A hand holding a black device with an ePaper display with power and signal strength, and a walkie talkie
