As I watch what is happening south of the border, I see a dreadful familiarity with 1930s Germany. Many make this comparison, they aren't wrong imo I hope that people take a moment to also learn about resistance. They fear the power of the people. They always do. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_...

I have few words, but saw this picnic table and felt the urge to mutter "yeah, same" ...I think that, somehow, modern language has turned the sublime into an almost easier to access liminal space by way of "mood" and "same".

My current read & my next read I give Cultish a solid 7/10. It's a good foundation text, and Montell is an engaging writer. I do find that some of the arguments and assertions wander into supposition territory. The heavy focus on insular, popular cults did add a baggage that bogs down applications

My son and I love using our lil Focus Bean 🫘 💜 Now...my son does use it to sit and stare at the bean (now kitt-ney bean) while it knits sooo not the point, but it helps him regulate! He also loves decorating the room. I'm currently re-acquiring decor after his last demo 😂

Two good things happened last week: my sister gave me her old deep freezer! and my lil laddie cut down the rhubarb with me. We now have 8 cups of rhubarb and one Englishman who is making the 🥹 face for rhubarb and custard... (My sister got the other 8 cups of rhubarb. It was A LOT)

My lil lassie is reading The Hobbit with her Dad while he's deployed. She reads a few pages aloud, I send the recording, he reads a chapter and sends it back I'm very proud of her reading journey and how hard she's been trying. So, I am attempting to embroider a little piece to celebrate her ✨
