Door #art #artsky #illustration #fantasy

A black stone torus with spiralling, fluid curves stands amid a desolate, dusky wasteland atop stones as blowing dust covers the sky behind it. Its body is shiny, and striped with inner veins of rich cobalt blues and indigos. Inside the hole in the middle can be seen another world, foggy and drenched in falling rain that drips out in streams onto the desert, growing fresh greenery in it's wake that crawls out from the hole and into the wasteland.

She Looked Like Me #art #artsky #illustration #digitalart

A long haired woman with amber colored eyes in a flowing red dress is held close by an androgynous, multi-armed being made of ethereal black liquid. It's hands are tipped with long golden claws and its golden eyes drip with golden tears. Its head spreads out in long, star-like spokes. One of its hands wields a golden, ornamented staff, while another rests below a group of iridescent floating crystals. There is a colorful aurora behind the creature and a giant metallic sphere with curving, layered markings overhead and far behind it. The sky behind this is grey and gloomy.

Joan in the Garden #art #artsky #illustration #digitalart #joanofarc #thedecemberists

A young woman sits at the center of a surreal scene. She is flanked by two angelic beings bearing golden weapons and each with only one wing. One is red with a spear, the other is opalescent and pale bearing a noble sword. Around the girl a flower garden unfolds into an apocalyptic scene, with buildings burning as far as the eye can see. A floating skull with bright glowing eyes hovers over her under a glowing white crown. It spills blood from it's open mouth that fades into the bright golden halo that surround the girl's head. In her lap sleeps a lamb, and before them both in the grass rests the glinting blade of a longsword.

Seahorse Dragon #art #artsky #fantasyart #dragon #dragons #dragonart #seahorse

A majestic purple and pink dragon with seahorse-like aquatic anatomy rests proudly upon a verdant mountain top amidst and colorful sunset. It clutches an opalescent object in one claw, and stares off into the distance with knowing blue eyes.

Metroid Prime style fodder critter that does nothing but wander around in a circle until something splatters it for no reason. (My favorite)

Wyatt Rys @wyattrys.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

Outstanding.

Rift Ripper #art #artsky #fantasy #illustration #digitalart #rift #portal #magic

A lithe woman with short red hair and black clothing leaps through a shimmering portal, sword at the ready, led by a glowing blue thread that extends from her right hand. The edges of the portal grow rainbow crystals that break apart into stars at the edges, and behind the woman, through the portal, can be seen green hills, a blue sky, and white stone ruins.

The Drowned #art #artsky #rain #rivers #skulls

A twisted and gnarled tree is suspended by sprawling roots amid a tumultuous river and a torrent of rain. Beneath the waves can be seen a deep dark depth with a pair of skulls being pulled along by the current.

Thank you for hosting! Here's my most recent painting and then a few others from my One Piece series, since I haven't shared those in a while.

Now for my other favorite Stormlight character, artist and illusionist, Shallan. #art #artsky #conceptart #digitalart #stormlight #stormlightarchive #brandonsanderson #cosmere

A bright young woman with red orange hair and clear blue eyes sits at a desk before a window flanked by purple draperies embroidered with golden heraldry. A crescent moon can be seen outside amid the colors of a sunset sky. The woman, wearing a blue dress of practical, yet wealthy make, holds a purple crystal sphere in one hand, whose shards of violet light are cast against her gloved hand and freckled face. Her other hand holds a pencil and sketches the sphere alongside many other specimens. Behind her is a pair of bookshelves stocked with thick volumes bound in various colors, while more spheres of varying colors cast their light upon the desk where they lay.

Gluttonous Hellblade #art #artsky #digitalart #conceptart #fantasyart #fantasy #illustration #knights #swords #armor

Exultation #art #digitalart #illustration #fantasyart #fantasy #nature

A shaft of light from above illuminates the twisted forms of two figures. One lays upon its back, a corpse, desecrated and covered in thick vines, tunnelling into the body at every opportunity. A sword rests in the corpse's palm. Above the body looms the second figure. A broad shouldered, masculine thing of dense wooden bark, faceless, with numerous branches sprouting from its back. In its hands is held a glowing green heart. It is unclear if it is returning the heart to the corpse below, or removing it entirely. However, the ritualistic nature of the event is clear in the wooden thing's reverent posture, and the way it seems to gaze up at the warm light above.

Crested Mirigwen. I love treating fantasy creatures like real animals that could actually exist somewhere. #art #artsky #digitalart #conceptart #fantasyart #fantasy #illustration #dragon #dragons #wyvern

A black and yellow wyvern, snake-like in the face and sporting a pointed yellow crest upon its head, crouches poised upon the branch of a tree overlooking a dense hilly region covered in green vegetation. More of its kind soar in the blue sky beyond.

Cruenopterus. Inspired by beloved ancient radiodonts like anomalocaris, but twisted into a fantastical sea monster. #art #artsky #digitalart #conceptart #fantasyart #fantasy #illustration #monster #seamonster

$A giant turquoise colored arthropod with red accented shells and frills floats among a school of passing pink jellyfish. The creature sports wing-like arms tipped with sharp talons and a thick tail terminating in a long, deadly stinger. Light flitters down upon the scene from the sun above, refracted by distant ocean waves.$

Vinlarin #art #artsky #digitalart #conceptart #fantasyart #fantasy #monster #monsterart #monsterhunter #rain

An inept monster hunter lays upon his back in the mud of a rainy forest, sword held desperately up against a whiskered grey monster with four golden yellow eyes. The beast looks eager, holding its claws up, ready to pounce and claim its victim.

Obraluk, Dragon of Avarice #art #artsky #digitalart #conceptart #fantasyart #fantasy #illustration #dragon #dragons

The tiny figure of a man stands alone upon a stone walkway extending forward towards the imposing maw of a massive creature. The maw, placed where the chest should otherwise be, explodes a constant stream of blazing fire, swallowing the base of the platform. A quad set of smoking nostrils are set around the clavicles, and beyond that, where one would expect a head, blooms a toothy frill, beset with a single golden eye. The beast's arms extend out as if directing it's flame. It's claws and forearms crusted with molten gold, which covers much of the creature's body. Even its strange "wings" which seem to grow like tree branches tipped with hands, flow with the same molten stream as they stretch outward into the dark.

Thank you for the opportunity. Here's some of my own favorites, including my most recent Stormlight inspired piece, which I just finished yesterday and am especially proud of.

Shardbearer. Inspired by the Stormlight Archive books series, by Brandon Sanderson. #art #artsky #stormlight #stormlightarchive #thewayofkings #wordsofradiance #oathbringer #rhythmofwar #windandtruth #brandonsanderson #cosmere

A figure in gleaming armor of otherworldly craftsmanship stands alone upon a barren plain of jagged stone. In their right hand shines a long and sinuous blade, forming from mist and dripping with condensation. The blade and the armor reflect the blue sky above, and off in the distance can be seen a waiting army, flying red banners, standing in anticipation of a conflict soon to begin.

Veins of Gold. My rendition of a scene from a chapter of the same name in The Wheel of Time book series. #art #artsky #digitalart #conceptart #fantasyart #fantasy #landscapeart #illustration #characterart #sunrise #thewheeloftime #wheeloftime #wot #randalthor #rand #robertjordan #brandonsanderson

A man gazes into the warm light of a new dawn. The glowing golden sun paints his face yellow against the dim purple gloom of the fading night, revealing tears and a contented look of relief and understanding. The man wears an embroidered coat open to the wind, revealing a sword upon his belt, which itself is affixed with a dragon shaped belt buckle. One of the coat's sleeves flutters emptily, suggesting that the man is missing much of his left arm. In his right hand is the remnants of a crumbling figure, dissipating in embers of bluish energy as it falls away. Behind him can be seen cold mountains and dark clouds. The man stands upon the highest peak in all the realm, and has just experienced a moment of enormous personal growth and change.

The bird has yellow and blue eyes and a black patch of feathers on its head, with a single larger feather extending off the back resembling a sort of top knot hairstyle. It's talons are open and prepared for violence.

Erasmus, from the Dune prequels. #art #digitalart #scifi #scifiart #dune

Erasmus, a metallic humanoid machine with a highly reflective flow metal body, stands amid his garden. His face is a perfect mirror, and reflects the fragile form of an insect perched upon his bloodied hand. In his other blood-stained hand is a fine old book. He wears shimmering golden robes and behind him can be seen the vast, imposing architecture of his estate. A pair of floating drones with spy cameras float around him waiting to be dispatched.

The God Emperor of Dune #art #digitalart #scifi #scifiart #dune

The God Emperor of Dune sits coiled upon his cart. His body is half sandworm, with the only remaining human portions being his fleshy red face, which looks towards the viewer with a stern expression focused by two bright blue within blue eyes, and his humanoid arms. One of which holds a ceremonial crysknife, white with a gold hilt. The room is lit a deep orange by large glowglobes floating near the stone ceiling, and there are several dark passageways in the wall behind.

Blade of the Witness #art #conceptart #illustration #digitalart #fantasyart #fantasy #knight #knights #warrior

A hulking knight in pristine fluted plate armor kneels amid a field of waving silvergrass. His right hand grips his sword, which is stuck into the ground. It bears a motif of black stars along its blade and in the cross guard. Similar stars can be seen in the armor's chest piece and affixed to the clear veil flowing from behind the knight's helmet, which bears the visage of a human face. In the background can be seen a dim light in the sky, like a tiny sun, with clouds swirling around it. Beyond, further into the distance, a wall of rain obscures the horizon.
