Aww! A certificate! For our respectable little rock. 😂 The WTS has documentation now. This is getting dangerously legitimate. 😁 #WxmThirstSection
Kop Square certificate from Wrexham AFC confirming a commemorative stone at the Racecourse Ground. The certificate features the Kop Square twin-dragon emblem and an image of the grey stone, engraved with two dragons holding a football above the words "WREXHAM THIRST SECTION." Text below says the stone has become part of a new chapter in the fabric of Y Cae Ras, the historic home of Wrexham AFC. The certificate is signed by CEO Michael Williamson and bears the Wrexham AFC crest.

They're going to incorporate all the supporter stones into the design of the flooring for the Kop square. So people will be walking around and the stones will be underneath their feet. I'm hoping ours will be easily found once the Kop is open for business.

Our Kop stone is considerably more under control than we are. 😂 We wanted to make sure everyone in the WTS would feel comfortable taking a photo with it, so we kept the thirst off the stone and went with something that belongs to all of us. Classy Kop stone. Thirsty hearts. 🐉⚽🐉 #WxmThirstSection
A design for the Wrexham Thirst Section’s Kop stone, featuring two black Welsh dragons facing each other and holding a football between them, above the words “WREXHAM THIRST SECTION” in bold black lettering on a grey stone background.

Your Wrexham v Southampton Thirst Section podium. 🔥🕵️🌳 🏆 Jacques Ekomié 🥈 Kieffer Moore 🥉 Callum O’Hare & Zak Vyner plus one extremely determined Kieffer write-in #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm
O’Hare started fast: wide in the opening minute, then a header saved on 4’. Patterson was busy soon after and kept making saves. Moore won a defensive free kick, then fed O’Hare for another effort on 35’ that forced a corner. Whiteman delivered it and Moore buried the header. 1–0, enormous man airborne, Thirst Section infrastructure immediately under load.

Southampton levelled just after halftime, but Moore took that personally: on 55’ he launched one from more than 35 yards and hit the bar. Patterson saved again, Vyner put the ball behind for a corner, and Ekomié won a defensive-half free kick. Somehow that was enough for Ekomié to top the vote at 18.8%. 🤷‍♀️

Sheaf made way for Matty James on 65’. Vyner conceded another corner soon after, then Moore won another defensive free kick before O’Hare shot wide from Windass’ pass. Moore departed having scored, rattled the bar and left 16.7% of voters emotionally compromised. O’Hare took 14.6%, Whiteman 10.4%.

Windass forced a save on 81’, then Doyle crossed for Sam Smith to head just wide. Patterson saved again on 87’, keeping Wrexham alive, and then 89’: own goal, Wrexham back in front, 2–1. The Racecourse could finally exhale, scream, levitate, whatever was necessary. Suddenly the Kieffer “We will NOT LOSE this match…” write-in looked legally binding. Kaboré and O’Brien won late free kicks while stoppage time tried to age everyone another decade, but Wrexham held on.

Final ballot: Ekomié 19.1%, Moore 17.0%, O’Hare and Vyner 14.9%, Doyle, Whiteman and Patterson 10.6%, Sheaf 2.1%. A giant header, a 35-yard crossbar assault, and enough late defensive stress to qualify as cardio FOR THE WIN. Tad better than last week vs West Ham, eh? 🔥

*The lone write-in "Kieffer 'We will NOT LOSE this match' Moore" is what pushed Kieff ahead of O'Hare and Vyner. I just added that to Kieff's block of votes.

Your Wrexham v Southampton Thirst Section MOTM. 🔥 🏆 Jacques Ekomié Top of the vote, arms up telling everyone to stay calm, while the that footballer build makes that instruction completely impossible to follow. WTS composure: 404 Not Found #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm
Our MOTM is caught mid-gesture with his whole upper body doing that infuriatingly composed athlete thing. Torso upright, shoulders set broad and slightly rotated, both arms extended out in front of him with the elbows softly bent. One forearm sits almost horizontal while the other reaches higher, palms open, fingers spread, as though he is physically trying to tell everyone to calm down while possessing exactly the build least conducive to anyone doing so.

And those arms. The fit of the short sleeves leave the shoulders and upper arms open to scrutiny, with the biceps and triceps visibly engaged just from holding the gesture. The taped wrist only adds to the footballer-at-work evidence file. His head turns into the movement rather than toward the camera, chin tucked slightly, so the whole thing reads focused and deliberate rather than posed.

Then the kit gets involved. The shirt hangs relatively loose through the torso, but the shorts have substantially less room for diplomacy. His weight is settled through one leg while the other comes forward, which loads the thighs differently and makes the muscle structure very obvious: one quad carrying the body, the other advancing underneath him. There is nothing static about it. Even while apparently asking for calm, his lower body is still walking through the moment.

Which means the Thirst Section has been presented with a man making a "steady, everyone" gesture while the shoulders, arms and thighs are submitting entirely contradictory instructions.

Sir.

We have just won.

Nobody was steady to begin with. Nobody is steady now.

And now you have raised both arms like you personally intend to relieve the cardiovascular emergency.

MOTM on the pitch, MOTM in the vote, and apparently MOTM of telling WTS to calm down while actively preventing it. 🔥🔥🔥

OK, ready to post. Ended up just adding the write-in to Kieff's total and NOT showing it on the chart because then it was throwing a percentage total above 100% and I couldn't figure out how to display it without counting the vote twice, if that makes sense. Anyway. Here we go.

Six-nil. The football offered very little, so the ballot did what it had to do: Dobson, O’Hare, a ponytail, a training top, the fans, and the abyss all received due consideration. The Thirst Section has submitted its findings. 🔥👇 #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm
O’Hare found Whiteman for a blocked effort, then Ekomié crossed for Imray to shoot wide. Imray had another blocked, Whiteman tried again from distance, and O’Hare slipped Dobson into the box for yet another blocked shot. By halftime it was 2–0, but Dobson had at least put himself in the voting conversation while O’Hare was already manufacturing reasons for Thirst Section attention.

Sam Smith won a free kick almost immediately after the restart, then O’Brien and O’Hare both drew fouls as Wrexham tried to get something moving. By 63’ it was 4–0. At 67’, Kaboré, Moore, Matty James and Hyam came on, with Dobson among those departing. Three Dobson votes took the lead, while George Dobson’s Ponytail collected its own vote because apparently the hair maintained composure even when the rest of us had lost ours.

O’Hare kept going, winning another free kick before Whiteman had a late shot blocked. Hyam headed wide from a Whiteman corner, Moore and Kaboré won late free kicks, and almost the final action saw Vyner head down for O’Hare, whose shot was blocked. Two O’Hare votes for continuing to present himself for duty while the scoreboard became increasingly obscene feels entirely defensible. Doyle and Sam Smith each picked up a vote too.

Then the write-ins took over. The Comms Team, including Mark, Mia and Andy, got votes for keeping everyone somewhat sane. I abstain chose peace. The deep abyss of pain and woe chose accuracy. Aaron James and James McClean arrived without match receipts. bubbles was emotional punctuation. The fans. For watching that mess deserved hazard pay. The Summer of ’25 was nominated like evidence in an inquiry. my self-control somehow survived. Josh Windass’ training top still generated more heat than the football. Arthur Okonkwo received a vote from another dimension entirely. Some ballots track performance. This one documented the stages of grief-induced thirst. 🔥

Your West Ham v Wrexham Thirst Section podium. 🔥 🏆 George Dobson 🥈 Callum O’Hare & The Comms Team 🥉 a 13-way tie for survival Six goals conceded, one independently nominated ponytail, and a ballot that responded to trauma by becoming art. #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm
George Dobson's body is caught converting itself into forward momentum.

His torso is pitched aggressively over the ball, chest angled down and forward while the shoulders counter-rotate around the run. One shoulder drives ahead, the other pulls back, and that twist through the upper body makes the shirt work extremely hard across his chest and upper arms. Both elbows are bent, hands loose rather than clenched, because everything above the waist is balancing what the legs are doing underneath.

And the legs are doing a LOT. The hips are turned into the stride, one thigh driving forward while the trailing leg stretches long behind him, giving us that full uninterrupted line from hip through quad, knee, calf and ankle. The planted leg is visibly loaded, thigh and calf engaged to hold his weight while he keeps the ball close, and the rear calf is taut from pushing off. His centre of gravity is low and slightly forward, so the whole body reads as controlled acceleration rather than merely running. He is leaning into the next touch before the current one has quite finished. 🔥

The cruel part for the Thirst Section is that even in a match we would all happily place into a locked box and sink beneath the sea, somebody has apparently arranged for that much shoulder, chest, thigh and calf to be photographed under full athletic load.

So now we have to process a 6–0 defeat while his kit is stretched across a rotating torso and both legs are making an extremely persuasive argument for the continued existence of football photography.

Cardiovascularly, this is unhelpful.

Emotionally, worse.

Kit-survival status: shirt holding. Shorts under considerably more operational pressure.

Thirst Section composure: substituted. 🔥

Wingbacks blowing things up from both sides. Kaboré supplied the cross, Ekomié attacked it. Doyle kept turning up everywhere, and “My acupuncturist” sent a CV in for the physio team. The Thirst Section has submitted its findings. 🔥👇 #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm
Wrexham started brightly. Doyle forced an early save with a header, Cleworth helped create another chance for Moore, and Kaboré was already causing trouble down the right, setting up Windass before picking up a booking for a tumble the referee did not buy.

Burnley began finding more room and eventually Amdouni finished a through ball to put them ahead. Soon after, Cleworth was forced off injured 🥺, with Vyner replacing him.

Wrexham kept pushing. Matty James tested the keeper, Kaboré fired narrowly wide, and Doyle sent a cross in for Windass, whose effort missed. Then Windass was forced off injured before the break 🥺, which suddenly made the write-in “My acupuncturist” feel less like a joke and more like a staffing proposal.

After the restart, O’Hare and Rathbone came on and Wrexham found fresh energy. Ekomié started driving down the left, then Kaboré delivered from the right and Ekomié powered in the equaliser with a header. Wing-back to wing-back. One supplied, one attacked it, and WTS composure briefly ceased to be operational.

Sam Smith replaced Moore soon after. Wrexham kept pressing, with James finding O’Hare, Whiteman trying his luck, Rathbone forcing a save, Hyam shooting from a tight angle, and O’Hare going close.

Burnley pushed back, Patterson made an important save, and Doyle kept cleaning up while still occasionally appearing in attacking areas like his job description had been written in pencil. Late on, O’Hare kept drawing fouls, Rathbone had another effort blocked, and Doyle was still doing sturdy Doyle things at the other end.

As for the write-ins: James McClean once again appeared without a match receipt, “My acupuncturist” was disturbingly topical, and “Steven Fucking Fletcher” arrived powered entirely by emotional force. Some selections are analytical. Some are spiritual. 🔥

Your Wrexham v Burnley Thirst Section podium. 🔥 🏆 Jacques Ekomié 🥈 Issa Kaboré & Callum Doyle 🥉 Sam Smith plus 3 write-ins for glorious chaos Equaliser headed home, scuba deployed in the rain, and WTS cardiovascular services overwhelmed. #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm
Thirsties, the scuba celly has arrived and it was catastrophically effective. He was caught mid-motion, body angled forward, torso pitched into the celebration, shoulders slightly rolled in, chest carried over his hips as the whole frame followed the line of that extended right arm. One hand came up to the face for the scuba detail, the other reached forward to complete the bit, and suddenly this was a full-body performance.

The red shirt clung to the movement, showing the bend through the upper body and the tension in the arms and shoulders, while the rain somehow made the whole thing even more outrageous.

And the lower half was working just as hard. The white shorts sat over fully engaged thighs, one leg stepping through while the other trailed behind on the toe, calves taut, balance held in that perfect split second between stride and pose. Hips drove the motion forward, knees stayed active, and the whole stance had that unmistakable footballer quality of looking loose and powerfully controlled at once.

Nothing about it was static. Even frozen in a photo, you can still feel the momentum: wet turf under the boots, the follow-through of the celebration, the body still humming with adrenaline.

Which means the Thirst Section was never going to survive this. The kit was already under enough pressure without adding rain, muscle engagement, and a themed celly with committed arm work. Red shirt, white shorts, thighs engaged, calves working, torso pitched forward, arms fully committed to the scuba.

Result: elevated heart rate, collapsed decorum, and several Thirsties requiring immediate assistance back to baseline.

Celebratory? Yes. Subtle? Absolutely not. Devastating? Beyond dispute. 🔥

Nil-nil, but far from thirstless. O’Hare wriggled, Cleworth roamed, Patterson locked the door, and somehow James McClean entered the discourse without entering the match. The Thirst Section has submitted its findings. 🔥👇 #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm
Swansea had the first sight of goal and kept probing, while Wrexham settled into keeping things tidy. Imray worked defensively down the right, Cleworth got involved around the box, and Hyam and Doyle kept the middle stubborn. Patterson was mostly being protected, which is generally preferable when he is, in fact, the goalkeeper.

Going forward, Callum O’Hare supplied the intrigue. Imray found him with a cross and his effort was blocked, then O’Hare kept finding pockets, drawing fouls and making himself an irritating little problem Swansea could not quite swat away.

After the break, Cleworth expanded his job description and set up Rathbone for a blocked effort. Then Matty James delivered for Doyle, whose header was blocked before his follow-up went wide. Midfielder supplying centre-back, centre-back trying twice to score. Completely normal behaviour.

The changes brought fresh nuisance. Kaboré found Windass twice for blocked efforts, while O’Hare kept earning free kicks and eventually drew the foul that put Cabango into the book. Slippery, persistent, mildly aggravating to everyone wearing white. Strong work from the new guy, obviously a graduate of the "make yourself impossible to ignore" school of thirst.

Then Patterson’s workload increased sharply. Swansea sent one at him from close range, another toward the top corner, and another from distance right at the end. He stopped all of them. Clean sheet and draw secured, pulse rates finally normalizing. Cleworth, Hyam and Doyle had helped keep the structure intact; Patterson applied the final padlock.

Moore even had one last go at nicking it with a shot from distance that forced a save, but the stalemate held.

And the write-ins? Parky after a difficult away draw was understandable managerial appreciation. And somebody brought pure extracurricular yearning to the assignment with the nod to James McClean. No match receipts. Just pure conviction. The Section’s research standards remain magnificently flexible. 🔥

The Swansea v Wrexham Thirst Section podium is officially in.🔥 🏆 Callum O’Hare 🥈 Max Cleworth 🥉 Matty James Persistence rewarded, centre-back extracurriculars applauded, and the black away kit has been referred to the appropriate authorities. #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm
Thirsties, this one was a masterclass in how little movement a man apparently needs to cause widespread administrative failure. He was caught between phases of play, body loose but ready, shoulders settled, chest open, arms hanging naturally at his sides, one leg planted forward while the other carried his weight. Nothing exaggerated, nothing posed. Just that unmistakable footballer balance where even standing still somehow looks athletic.

And the black away kit was doing outrageous work. The dark shirt sharpened the line through the shoulders and torso, while the shorts left the legs to make their own extremely persuasive argument. Thighs set, calves defined, stance wide enough to show the strength underneath it all, white boots providing the final bright punctuation mark. Compact, balanced, quietly powerful. The sort of physique built for twisting away from challenges, carrying the ball, absorbing contact and then immediately demanding it again.

Up top, the damp curls and slightly parted lips give the whole image that proper fully focused in-match look. It’s the combination of the black kit, the stance, the relaxed arms and that quietly composed presence that makes the picture land so hard. Just focus, athletic tension and an away kit apparently engineered in a laboratory to test the Section’s thirst emergency protocol.

This was the dangerous category of thirst where absolutely nothing theatrical was happening and yet somehow everything was happening. The background may as well have ceased to exist. Our attention had already been comprehensively detained by our number 17. 🔥

Three goals. Clean sheet. A gifted Millwall OG. Moore from distance. Ekomié arriving to finish the job. And somehow Pat’s coaches satnav made the discourse. The Thirst Section has submitted its findings. 🔥👇 #WTSMOTM #WxmThirstSection #WrexhamAFC #WxmAFC #AskWxm
Millwall came out trying to make it physical, and Wrexham were happy to meet them there. Kaboré was getting clattered, Cleworth was throwing himself into challenges, Whiteman was making midfield feel like a contact sport, and Doyle and Hyam were doing the sturdy defensive work. Then Millwall put one into their own net off an attempt by Kaboré. Deeply generous. We accepted the gift.

Wrexham started looking more dangerous on the break. Moore occupied defenders, Windass found the space, and eventually the two combined: Windass released Moore, Moore looked up from distance and buried it. Big striker, big frame, dominating near the six-yard box. Very inconsiderate toward the Thirst Section's blood pressure.

Then Imray arrived and immediately started causing problems down the right. He supplied the cross, and Ekomié finished with his right foot. Ekomié had already spent the match charging up and down the left and absorbing challenges, so adding a goal felt like an unnecessary flourish. Hard running, bruising work, then casually appearing in the box to finish. Sir, our cardiovascular function was already under strain.

James kept things ticking and later dropped a lovely ball onto Cleworth’s head. Cleworth had been looming around set pieces all evening. Doyle kept winning battles, Hyam dealt with pressure, and Whiteman continued his particular brand of midfield diplomacy, mainly involving opponents meeting the turf and a booking. Some members of the Section find this extremely persuasive WTSMOTM quality.

Late on, Imray was still running and getting shots away. O’Brien had one blocked, Longman forced a save, Cleworth nearly nodded one in, and Wrexham still looked like they fancied another.

As for the write-ins: Parky was fair game after a 3–0 away win at The Den. But “Pat’s coaches satnav” was the real scholarship. If the satnav successfully located Millwall, three goals, a clean sheet and the route home, it deserves its own tiny laminated medal. 🔥

Thirsties, this one was absolute cinema. He was caught mid-knee-slide, body arched back in full celebration, chest lifted to the sky like the moment physically could not be contained. One hand was flung up to his ear, mouth wide open in a roar, and the whole pose had that glorious split-second mix of power, release, and pure "are you not entertained?" energy.

The red shirt was stretched clean across his torso as he leaned back, every line of the movement visible through the twist and extension of the celebration. Shoulders opened, core engaged, neck taut, the whole upper body committed to the drama of it. Nothing about this was static. It was all motion, all force, all adrenaline. A goal celebration with absolutely no interest in subtlety.

And then the lower half joined the performance. Those white shorts and socks were doing the Lord’s work while he slid across the turf on both knees, thighs engaged, hips driving forward, legs folded underneath him in that wonderfully theatrical footballer collapse into glory. The shine on the legs, the grass contact, the grounded power of the slide — it all made the image feel even more physical, like you could practically hear the roar and the scrape of the turf.

In short: this was not just a celebration. This was a full-body event. A red-and-white missile of joy, confidence, and beautifully committed athletic drama. The Thirst Section did not stand a chance. 🔥
