I'm just learning more about other sides to this specific story, and while it wasn't the reason for closure, you are valid for expressing your concerns for what you witnessed and how you thought it may be correlated. The whole team is unprofessional and should have talked about it properly and open.

Over their whole legal case going on with the service dog handler and discovered it's an unsafe & ableist con with wildly unequipped-for-the-job staff (not even the con chair knows how to manage real life mentally/physically disabled people) which I spoke up about on my acc, but yellin into le void.

Geniunley so glad someone else is speaking up about con staff :/ I've literally read all of the legal documents, twice, and they still would just tell me "it's all in the court documents just read" and it's SO frustrating. I'm sorry you had experienced this from them and it's not fair at all!!

WHAT? nah that's crazy. I'll do more research into that aswell but GOTF staff are seeming rly sketchy and it's vry disappointing. They've been posting their GFM in many local chats Im in & get defensive if u question the language they use. Definitely not something I wanna attend or support anymore!

Sorry this is my final comment under this thread. I'm hoping we figure out more context because again it's not looking looking great for GOTF. I encourage furries to understand SD rights in Oregon and giving the court doc another read!! I can also be misreading, just looking for a clearer story ^^;

Furries responding to this + con chair seem to be severely misinformed about service dogs and how they work. This isn't about feelings getting hurt, it's about being discriminated against as a SD team, and being perma banned+ blacklisted at cons you used to vend at. In all honesty if the same happened to you, all because a con chair doesn't know service dog rights, wouldn't you want to defend yourself too?

Many people are claiming this is "all over feelings getting hurt ... They are trying to shut down the con" (in reference to the person suing) and it was explained multiple times that was not the goal, yet it's a rhetoric continuing to be spread and promoted by GOTF.

Reading the go fund me, I originally assumed it was a fake SD handler or something, but after reading the court documents that we're begged to read, I honestly don't believe Baphnedia is in the right about this situation.
