It seems likely to me, given the trajectory of his career into politics and then as a lobbyist, that Hastert sought power and money in order to avoid the consequences he had stored up for himself for abusing the kids in his care as a teacher and coach.

We did this in NY in 2022. Gas prices went down about 5 cents for one day. All it did was take money out of the Highway fund and hand it to gas station owners.

I work as a hospice chaplain, I see lots of patients with dementia at home, in facilities, at their family’s home, etc. it’s obvious you love your mom and that will always point you in the right direction to care for you, whatever specifics end up coming together.
